Honestly, if we're not going to win the SB it's truly anyone else but the Chiefs. Would be happy for the Bills, Ravens, Lions, Vikings, etc.

Can’t stand the Vikings or their fans. I’d like to see the Bills win it if we can’t. Different conference and they’ve been loyal fans for how bad their teams have been over the years.

If Gb beats Minnesota then Minnesota loses divisional tiebreaker to lions unless lions lose to Chicago this week. Minnesota would have 2 divisional losses and lions if they beat the bears the most they could have if Minnesota beats them is 1. So if lions are 14-2 and Minnesota is 13-3 the game is meaningless for the Vikings as they can’t win the division or one seed cause of divisional record tiebreaker. So I’m guessing they rest guys week 18 as they are locked into the 5 seed

Never meaningless to screw your division rival position

If this season has taught me anything, it’s that QBs are EXTREMELY overpaid.

There is exactly one player in the NFL right now who can justify $60M per year, and that’s Josh Allen. He can actually put an entire team on his back and with minimal help make you a Super Bowl contender.

There are maybe two other guys who can justify $50+ million, Mahomes and Jackson… and I’m not sold on Jackson despite the numbers, while in Mahomes’ case it’s more based on previous performance than this year.

Some GM is eventually going to take the leap on saying no to the huge QB payday the way teams have moved away from RBs.

The first adopters of this policy will simply trade the QB for a bunch of draft picks, which some other team will happily accept. You then build a monster roster like the Lions or Eagles, and throw together mid tier starters, reclamation projects and draft picks at the QB and cycle through them.

The average level of QB play has never been higher. Guys are coming off the scrap heap and looking like solid starters. Rookies come in and impress. And at the same time, there are very few "star” QBs who can carry a team.

Unless I have Josh Allen or Pat Mahomes, give me a QB by committee system with a juggernaut roster everywhere else. The NFL moves in cycles and it sure seems like ball control and defense is a competitive advantage.

Yep, said something similar a while back. We can't just keep giving QBs massive increases, it's just not sustainable. Build a power house roster, cycle through QBs that are game managers, move on. Jalen Hurts is closer to game manager than he is elite QB and his contract is middle of the road now, where it belongs.

It's because his wife has a thing for Jalen.

Is that Pete Davidson?

Yes. I saw another post that said he grew up a Giants fan and he has followed Barkley's career here this season. The fans he was with were joking about making him a convert.

I thought he saw Sirianni's butthole eyes and wanted to cheer for a guy with similar features.

I spent a significant portion of my youth in Michigan. Back then, the Lions were good. Alex Karras, Bobby Layne, Joe Schmidt, Lem Barney, Night Train Layne, Yale Larry, et al. Barry Sanders came later. Since I moved, they’ve sucked. Clearly my fault. Anyway, if we don’t win the SB, I want the Lions.

Mahomes has turned into one of the most insufferable athletes. Dude complains more than any QB in the NFL, he foul baits all the time. Dude will do that sideline run 5 times per game where he tries to time stepping out as the defender has already launched to try and draw a penalty. Then not only does he foul bait, but he puts on a big performance with every bump and bruise.

I blame Brittany

Don't think I actually know any giants fans but that's got to be rough if you were a fan of him in college and then with Giants and now he's with a rival

They did it. I'm rooting for him, hope he does well. Eagles Michael Vick is one of, if not my favorite player of all-time. Hate, hate, hate what he did in Atlanta, but I was so proud of the Eagles for giving him a chance, and Vick for taking full advantage of the opportunity to fix himself as a man. Good luck to him.

If he could have been smarter with that one play at the end vs GB they may have made some noise. Shame.

And Hunt holy crap. Went from a project of 1-2 years to making noise as a rookie. Huge. Absolutely huge. Those two make taking a DE in round 1 a luxury vs need. They can take BPA wherever now.

Nolan and Dean are two guys who have proven their doubters wrong.

Both of them being high character guys also cements the leadership of the defense for years to come.

Yep.  The Giants were on to something with the contract they gave Daniel Jones.  Problem is they gave it to Daniel Jones.

It’s not that ball control and defense are the best way to win.  It’s that you can build a better top to bottom roster by not blowing all resources on the qb and then having that philosophy.

I personally don't care who universities or pro teams hire as coaches or head coaches.

Obviously he's not really an X and O's kinda guy so hopefully he hires good coaches around him.  A good HC is only as good as his assistants.

Great to see Nolan taking off.  I was a big believer in his due to his off the charts athletic ability, great attitude and desire to put in the work.

Have to imagine he can recruit like hell
