The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

I understand and sympathize. My friend smoked a lot of marijuana, which he said eased his tension but did nothing for his symptoms.

Yeah, the symptoms are incurable from what I understand.

What really broke my heart was how disconnected he felt. Basically, because of the hearing loss he can’t follow conversations well, and the vertigo distracts him from whatever he can keep up with.

And for people who know him and know his issues, it’s difficult enough to have to repeat things constantly, but obviously we’re happy to work with him — it just takes time. But for strangers, they just get frustrated with you.

He went from one of the most social people I’ve ever known to almost a shut in after the symptoms started. He’s better now and has learned to cope with the issues, but the whole thing utterly changed his life.

I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

Ojomo?  Guy had almost the same pressure rate as Williams in the SB from what I heard on one of the podcasts with that analytics guy Sam something from Penn State.  22 or 23% compared to Williams at 26%.*

* Numbers are not exact, but a good show to listen to. He did 2 parts and broke down everything.  Pretty sure it was Inside the Birds. They all run together as I have listened to 100 podcasts in the last 2 weeks.😅

I heard that read that as well that Ojomo had a higher pressure rate than williams and I  think he had a TFL as well, I really like Milton always have but I think he outpriced himself with his play good luck to him, sucks to lose him but cant keep em all

I'm really sorry to hear that. It can be bad at times, worse for me when I lay my head on the pillow if there no white noise to mask it. But even then, if you lay on your side, you're blocking the white noise out of that ear so now the ringing is more noticeable.

I've dealt with it from one degree or another for almost 37 years now. For me, as bad as it can be at times, it'll never be so bad that I can't go on in life. There's ways to deal with it. Just look at the Eagles joy that I'd have missed if I'd 'given up' 8 or 9 years ago. That might seem like a small thing, but it's not. There's always something positive to grab onto, even if it's just seeing the sun come up one more day.

Thank you. You have made my day a better one.

IMO, we don't need to spend that much draft capital on a TE for the next couple of years.

Goedert has about three routes that Hurts will throw to him.  Sail, mesh, and shallow out.  We need to find a prospect with his blocking capabilities and enough pass-catching skills to fill his role as the third/fourth option in the passing game.

Jackson Hawes, who essentially is a Will Dissley type and looks to be a mid-round target … he showed better athleticism/hands than I expected at the senior bowl, but overall seems to have the right skillset for a running team with big play options already in place.

yeah. a positive message. much better than the story you lead with. Try that next time.

Ojomo has 3 inch longer arms than Milton. The upside is just as high

Talking about armlength… did you see Sweaty and Jalyx one-arm Thuney all day. AR screwed the pooch thinking he could go nearly all-pass with that makeshift OL.

You meet their mom in a similar fashion?

Trotter didn't do anything other than recover a fumble in the wild card round.

He took 295 Special Teams snaps and accounted for 10% of their Special Teams tackles.

I think he really takes a leap going into next year which is why I would be fine if we didn’t bring Milton back. I believe Ojomo was a 6th round pick a couple years ago can’t help but root for the guy.

Shemar Turner- 2 sacks

Shemar Stewart- 1.5 sacks

Nick Scourton- 5 sacks

Something fishy about these perfect looking prospects with oddly minimal production. All of that dominating size and athleticism on the same defensive line, and no one can break free to get to the QB? Is it a DL that plays like Georgia that limits pass rusher production?

This is what I found on Turner:

Turner showcases good size and length when he is tasked with containing opposing running backs. He clogs lanes like we mentioned above, but the length allows him to get leverage on others. In the NFL he could parlay this trait into being more efficient as a pass rusher as well, we know NFL teams love the physical traits when it comes to defensive linemen.

Shemar Turner is going to be a tough evaluation for some when it comes to his physical traits versus what Texas A&M has had him assigned to do. Mike Elko came in and put him in positions to succeed in 2024 but never asked him to pass rush much. That is something I think he can improve upon as a pro versus a college prospect. On day one though, he is going to be a fun rotational piece on a defensive line as a run defender. He clogs running lanes well but he also penetrates the offensive line when he is able to overwhelm blockers with his power. There is a lot to like with Turner, but he still has a lot of development to do with the right team, which is patient enough with him.

If I'm not mistaken, Kellen Moore brought him to the Eagles (they were OC and QB coach on the Chargers together in 2023) and he'll follow Kellen to NO.

They were in Dallas together for like 5 years prior too

So they werent asked to do it much.

Out of the 3 big prospects on that DL then, I probably feel the most comfortable with Scourton who has shown the production at Purdue before arriving at A&M.

The 2 Shemars will have a learning curve.

Just a couple of my guys in this draft that aren't typically mentioned everyday.

LB Small Mondon ; DE/DT Ashton Gillotte ; DE Donovan Ezeiruaku ; CB Shavon Revel ; DE Jared Ivy ; EDGE Bradyn Swinson ; DT Omarr Normann-Lott ; RB Devin Neal ; S Andrew Mukuba ; EDGE Josaiah Stewart ; RB Trevor Etienne ; WR Savion Williams.....

I am also very high on the top EDGE's that are commonly mentioned. I like all the Georgia guys on both sides of the ball and there's quite a few this year. I would be quite happy with either of their pass rushers. I wonder if Tate Ratledge could be another Dickerson type OG. DT I am not blow away by but there's some. If Milt is out, Nolen would excite me some but he's probably gone in the teens.

The DT from Toledo is interesting and the NT from Oregon is too.

Fair enough

One of the most important conversations now. Is Nolan Smith married to #3 or can DeJean offer enough for him to give it up? I like DeJean in #33 but hate Smith in #3. If Slay is gone, I could see Smith taking #2, assuming he wants to stay in a single digit and DeJean could have #3.

Potential new available numbers based on UFA and tradeable players and cuts (Pickett/McKee/Huff). I also think 9 should be available now since the Eagles have 2 SB. Nick was great, but it's time to put it back in the rotation. I'd also assume 55 is retired unfortunately. I also think Braden Mann needs to take one for the team and wear 37 or 39 since punters don't have strict number rules anymore.

0, 2, 7, 9 , 13, 14, 16 18, 19, 24, 29, 34, 42, 53, 77, 80, 93

-No way Jahan Dotson stays in 83. He's taking whatever single digit he can. Let's assume Pickett is traded. Dotson takes 7.

-BVS has already said he will change his number to a pass catching eligible number, it was just too late last year. Would make sense for him to take 42 (college number) if Burks is gone.

-Johnny Wilson is taking 14 (college number) if Gainwell leaves in FA. I like him in 89 however. We need WR in WR numbers and as a huge WR, 89 fits him well.

-Lewis Cine is grabbing a single digit or 24. I think he's going to surprise and make an impact next year.
