Hard to believe Covey is already 28.

Not really.  He came into the league really old.

One thing's for sure, the Eagles are gonna have to nail this draft, just as they did the previous 4 drafts. Will have some big needs to fill and will need to do so with picks. Glad it's a deep DL draft. Please Pearce or Nolen fall to us.

I certainly don't disagree but they will add guys still in the FA period. Just not first wave

Benjamin St-Juste maybe to compete with Ringo in addition to draft pick?  Can't see us spending a good amount of $$ at the position and don't think he should cost that much

Same question ...  What about Marco Wilson or Kristian Fulton?

The ComFootballTeamSkins had about 81 million to spend

  • 17 for Deebo (worn down 29)
  • 9 for Wagner (35)
  • 22 for Tunsil (31)
  • 15 for Kinlaw (just 28)
  • 7 for Ertz (35)
  • 4 for kicker/punter

That's a decent list if it was 2021

They also dented their 2025 draft and blew up their 2026 draft  (2nd and 4th gone)

2025 - 1, 2, 4, 6, 6,

2026 - 1, 3, 5, 6, 7

They get another 18 or so for cutting a good player in Allen.

They still need edge pass rushers, a backup QB, and WR depth if not more.

This feels more 76ers South than GM of the year.

I don't think they're actually that good. They didn't beat ANYBODY last year. Neither did the Vikings (other than beating the Packers). The NFC North had cakewalk schedules -- the AFC South and NFC West. There's a reason they went 0-3 in the playoffs.

I think we have a decent shot at the teams in the NFC North and West being very competitive internally and maybe splitting all their division games.  Should help us for seeding.

I wonder who he's projecting as the 2nd 4th round comp. Becton?

That’s what I’ve been trying to figure out. I wondered if it was a minority exec or coach that got promoted but nobody comes to mind

Let's trade them Kenny for a pick.

Give us something Howie! LeCharles Bentley. Anything...

At least we don't have to see a DE wearing #19 anymore. Gross. Really wish Nolan Smith would somehow get 56 away from Steen. Bring back position specific numbers.

2, 9,13,14,19 and one of 7 or 16 should be open provided Gainwell signs somewhere and one of Pickett/McKee are traded.

-Johnny Wilson fits 89 but 14 was his college number. Does he make the switch?

-my money is on Dotson taking #2. He was 1 at PSU and Washington. Have to imagine he hates 83.

-9 should be put back in to circulation.

You spend way too much time worrying about the laundry.

There wasn't and even if there was it would be a 3rd anyway.

Yes.  He isn't good.  He would be cheap for a reason.

Becton and Baun weren't very good before last season either. Bringing in a reclamation project on a cheap one year deal (St. Juste, Fulton, Stokes) to compete with Ringo and/or provide depth would be wise.

...and today was why it was so important to get Baun in the house before the madness began

You got Baun.

And then you'll get wave 2 after all these other teams overpay out of desperation.

Just remember that Sweat, Williams, and Rodgers will likely be replaced with draftees selected in rounds earlier than they were.

I didn’t really pay much attention to the combine this year, but seems like he did good. He also met with the Eagles at the combine.

Depends on how the draft goes but if hes there at 32 you gotta consider it

Seems 2nd round has been the place for eagles to get TEs, LJ smith,Ertz, Goedert

Keith Jackson was the last TE eagles took in the first and he was top 15 and a pro bowl rookie.

Taylor with aj smitty and barkley would be a lot for a D too worry about.

Hows his run blocking?

Goederts value is also that hes a top notch blocker

Then again Eagles could be comfortable staying pat with Calcaterra, downgrade as a blocker but a good receiver.

We'll see.

If a DL is at 32 that they have a comparable grade on I cant see them taking a TE over that DL.

Ha. Yeah. My expectations at this point is Burks for now. Then he will go gem finding for 1 year deals.

That’s my guess

Packers just gave a CB bag (12m per) to Nate Hobbs

That probably increases the chances of them cutting Jaire Alexander.

Jaire is awesome but struggles to stay healthy. 1 year prove it deal?

I'm not sure he is a long term solution and his blocking sucks. However, if you mix and match him, a FA blocking TE, and a rookie I think they will be more than fine there and can add elsewhere with the cap savings.

I agree... GC looks like a pretty athletic te and makes nice catches... He can get better at blocking... I wouldn't be opposed to trading for Mayer from the Raiders... It would suck to see Goedert go but I get it...

Since they drafted Sweat they drafted Nolan Smith & Jalyx Hunt

Since they drafted Williams they drafted Davis, Ojomo & Carter

Since they signed Rodgers they drafted Mitchell & DeJean

The replacements have already been drafted.  Of course you want to keep that pipeline going

I don't get why people are up in arms that we aren't making moves... Who do you want to sign now that when the time comes we have to lose guys like Carter or Jurgens or Smith?

Yeah maybe it's just me but I thought GC looked pretty solid

As a receiver yes as s blocker he needs work ..

Anyone upset at a lack of moves was just not paying attention
