Where is Random Reglar with his RAS scores?  We need to see Green’s

RAS doesn't appear to be working.  Here is his numbers vs Tyler Booker who is one of the top OG's in this years draft

Green

6-4 and 323 pounds
5.24 40
26 vert
20 reps
8 foot 6 inch broad
5.12 shuttle

Booker

6 foot 5 321 pounds

5.38 40
27 vert
21 reps
7 foot 10 inch broad
4.84 shuttle

Neither of these guys numbers are very good but i'm guessing they would be in line with Landon Dickerson's had he tested.

On offense we need backups.  On defense we need starters and heavy contributors.

I think our starters on defense are already on the roster.

Smith, Carter, Davis, Hunt

Baun, Dean

Mitchell, DeJean, Ringo

Blankenship, Brown

I understand the wariness of relying on Brown, Ringo, and Hunt because of how little they’ve played, but this is the reality of free agency and the salary cap in the NFL. At some point you have to take risks and let the young guns play.

It reminds a lot of the 2004 season. We lost the best pair corners in the NFL with Vincent and Taylor and had to rely on Lito and Sheldon to step in. They had been on the roster for 3 years but really hadn’t done much.

At some point you have to actually play the young guys. they’ll make mistakes at times. They’ll have growing pains. But players need to actually play in order to develop.

Ringo and Brown have been on the roster for 2 full seasons. The coaches have had a chance to see them in practice and evaluate them. They should have a good idea of how well they understand the defensive system, the progress of their playing technique and how they matchup athletically on the field.

Now, we will probably look to bring in depth pieces with enough talent to challenge them if they don’t perform up to expectations, but "plan A” is going to be the red star draft pick Brown and the ultra high upside draft pick Ringo stepping up.

Can't officially find them...  This is what google spit back at me though which is weird since he obviously didn't do those at the combine.

Mykell Williams recorded a vertical jump of 36 inches at the 2025 NFL Combine and a broad jump of 10'4".

  • Vertical Jump: 36 inches

  • Broad Jump: 10'4"

  • 40-yard Dash: 4.86 seconds

  • Other Results:
    • Hand Size: 9 ¾"

    • Arm Length: 33 ½"

    • Wingspan: 82 3/4"

    • 10-Yard Split: 1.69

    • Shuttle: 4.34

    • 3-Cone Drill: 7.28

    • Bench Press: 12 reps

Would have been top-10 amongst last year's Edge class.

Hunt did 37.5" and 10'8".

Thoughts;

CJGJ may simply reflect DeJean. DeJean will probably be the starting FS who then moves to NCB in 4-2-5 formations. In which case, your "starting FS" will play 75-80% of snaps, primarily as a pass defender in a deep 2 safety formation. CJGJ has an off/on history, that is, what are odds he'd be as good this season, and was probably sheltered a bit by Fangio. McCollum and Brown are as athletic as CJGJ, and Cine more so. I think McCollum has the inside track, especially since pass defense will be more important than run defense.

Gainwell going FA creates slot to add cheap FA and still get 3 comp picks. Think they'll draft a RB

They need to draft a young TE who can block and catch, Calcaterra has improved but not an in-line blocker, Goedert getting long in the tooth (injury prone).

Becton will come down to price, Steen and Keegan lined up to replace him, drafting an OT more likely or signing a project in FA. I don't count on anything from Green.

Ojomo, Booker, Hall and Young will compete for DL, probably draft another body and sign a low cost FA. More conventional 3-4, more size, less quickness. I'd think about Campbell to buy a year to bring kids up to speed

starters are fine at OLB/DE and ILB, need depth

Ringo gets first dibs at CB, not sure Ricks has starter potential, probably draft a CB early if one falls to them again.

Defense will probably struggle early, but solid core, so Fangio just has to fit in new players around the edges, and coach up depth.

If the Eagles had not won the SB, I would be losing my mind right now.

Jalen Hurts is not good enough to ever win a SB.  The passing game is so anemic that we are forced to rely exclusively on the defense and a running back to win a title.  And that's not how you can win SB's anymore.  The RB and defense just peaked...and now the defense is getting picked away.  The cap is a reality even for Howie.  Etc. etc. So it's over.

But that's precisely not what happened (Except for the cap reality part).  They did it and won.  And that changes everything.  Where some of you were wrong is in saying that I'd complain the day after they won a SB.  The SB is where I draw the line.  3 SB appearances and 2 titles in 7 years.

I had my fun in February; I can live with being disappointed and tightening the belt in March.  Howie is the best ground-up roster architect in the NFL.  Not only have they earned our patience and trust, but they've also earned a total F up mulligan too.

With all of that said, do I think they'll be worse next year?  Yeah, I do.  I mean, their defense has been overhauled and gutted.  I understand why they did everything they did.  But a major step back with a SB hangover, brutal schedule, Barkley after a huge workload year, one less road grader up front, and major defensive change...yeah, a downward correction is probably in the forecast.

But if everything Howie touches in the draft keeps turning to gold...or if he regresses back to the mean and has a couple drafts resembling pre 2021...these veteran moves aren't going to matter either way.  What these moves do is create a more sustainable roster foundation.

Yeah but what if we made him a fullback though???

If you guys keep mentioning him and posting RAS scores, he's going to appear like Beetlejuice.

He's seeking medical attention for the stiffy that hasn't gone away since BVS played some fullback

We have to be down to the Howie deals at this point

I dunno. Looking at Green's numbers, he's pretty much a slug. Especially agility drills and jumps. I have little hope Stout will have more success than he did with Warmack.

He might not be a great athlete, but he has functional athleticism. Broad jump and 10 yard split were fine. Warmack a straight up bad athlete who couldn’t move.

If the Eagles, under Howie, can be painted with one brush, it is to aggressively pivot against what doesn't work towards what does.

They have had very, very strong positive reinforcement and success with drafting workout tested explosive DL (and failures when drafting less explosive guys).

I would be surprised and disappointed if they drafted a Mike Patterson, Derek Barnett type DL.  They've been going for the Nolan Smith, Josh Sweat, Milton Williams types with immense success.

Not just DL either.

The success we’ve had in the draft has been broadly based on targeting plus athletes. Mitchell, DeJean, Jurgens, etc. have all been excellent athletes.
