What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

I don't think it's doable given the money he wants, but still holding out a slight hope Howie with all those picks can swing a Hendrickson trade(not for a first rounder). I just love his game. And I think he's the perfect Eagle. That guy is just a dawg. Busts his ass on every play, one of those locker room type guys. I think he's the type of guy this city and team would absolutely love. And shows up in big games. But I don't see how they swing it with a new contract he wants.

I’m there with you on Hendrickson. I would love for the Bengals to paint themselves so far into a corner that Hendrickson makes good on his threat to sit out the season. Howie could be a white knight for both Hendrickson and the Bengals by trading a 3rd, with conditions that could make it a 2nd, for the as-is rights to Hendrickson. The plan would be to let him play out his contract and hit 2026 Free Agency with an outstanding contract year on his already outstanding resume, plus ideally a Super Bowl ring. The conditions on the trade would be that it escalates to a 2nd if the Eagles extend him. Howie could add some performance sweeteners if necessary, but the post Season game bonuses would be sweeteners in their own right.

Having him for 2025 for $16 million plus incentives would be a bargain, and he would no doubt qualify for a 2027 3rd Round Comp pick in 2026 Free Agency.

The Stanley cup finals outside of game 3 have been incredible. Each game has gone to OT besides game 3. Tied at 2. I hope it goes 7 with a game 7 classic

I think he's going to be going away for this one. If they filed charges they have evidence on him. I'm guessing it's second degree rather than first degree based on the details I've read, but attempted murder is very serious. This isn't like when the girlfriend accuses the athlete of slapping her around and she either recants later because she was paid off or he pleads to a misdemeanor. He (allegedly) took shots at someone at a public venue, and one of them landed, although just a graze. Reckless, dangerous, and Florida punishes strongly too. They have the 10-20-life law, which means the possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony is 10 years minimum mandatory. Discharging of firearm means 20 years mandatory.

If convicted of course he could be getting 20 years minimum.

He'll try and argue mental health issues (and he definitely has them), but I agree I don't see how he avoids jail on this one. I think the NFL will be getting sued from Jail for CTE.

He's just been getting weirder and weirder since he spent what seemed like a couple of weeks on the Patriots and then walked out on the Buccs mid game.

Preston Tiffany looks like that male cheerleader we had a few years back roll

But looks aside this is a great sign. He's a big up and comer in college. He probably could have gone just about anywhere over these next few years and he chose the Eagles. We'll have plenty of FO turnover year to year but talented people want to come work here.

With how AI likely to become ever present in day to day life, having a younger exec in the building should keep the team at the forefront of things. Not saying a younger person will just get it, but will have less biases than other age groups.

Still relevant

The NFL isn't assigned labor; the players sign up for the risks because of the rewards. JMO.

CTE can't be diagnosed until a postmortem examination at autopsy, so he's painted into a corner on that one.

A fun watch

Circling back to the "Brian Dawkins was dirty" discussion a few weeks ago, does anyone think any of these hits were dirty?

I think the Tim Carter tackle was the closest because he was basically out of bounds and he wrapped around his head.

I don't think any of those hits were dirty at the time he made them. The Carter one may have been a penalty but Dawkins launched himself at him before Carter went out of bounds. The Crumpler hit would be a penalty today. He left both feet and Crumpler was in a defensless position. It was a good football play when he made it.

By today’s standards, Dawk tended to launch and now that is a penalty. One of those would be called a defenseless receiver. But at the time, those were clean.

None of his highlight hits are dirty. The countless dirty plays will never be on any highlight video. It was always him diving in just after the whistle with a helmet or shoulder to an already tackled ball carriers back. Occasionally, but very rarely was he called for the late hit. He was a master of that.

That's not dirty though. I think the crux of that argument is the people seem to think that "penalty=dirty"

Got the spicy deluxe from chik fil a. Had to rush back to work and leave an epic sidewall blaster

Speaking of epic sheet blasts on the wall, I just had 3 hot honey chicken tacos from Chipotle with the hot red salsa. Just when I thought the splatter couldn’t get any messier, they go ahead and add hot honey to the mix. Bye bye toilet!

@mikemack8 And speaking of sheet everywhere, I was in a golf tournament yesterday hosted by Kurt Coleman. On 1 hole I hit it a little left of the fairway and started driving that way. All of a sudden there was this giant patch of mud out of nowhere and it ate up the golf cart. We were so close to being completely stuck, but I was able to turf it out of there. Unfortunately, it wasn’t mud. It was somebody’s ’ukn septic tank diarrhea risen to the surface. Our entire cart was covered in someone’s doodoo. It somehow didn’t get on me or my golf bag, but the smell was so bad I dry heaved when we got onto the fairway.

We are having a discussion on another thread and one of the posters there claims he is the only person who believed in Hurts. So here is a question to the Blog, "Who in addition to @RememberTheKoy and @SkippyX were Hurts believers from the git-go … and regular critics of the "Hurts haters”?

Thank you for a history lesson. I clearly wasn’t paying attention.
