2024 - Saquon out of 11 vs 12 personnel, per Sharp Football Analysis.

Look, I get Jurgens and Dickerson are more limited this year. I get Steen isn’t Becton as a run blocker. But for the love of god, the answer is not more Grant Calcaterra.

Dip your microwave popcorn in homemade French onion dip. Sour cream and onion soup seasoning. The salty and savory combo with contrasting textures. Chef's kiss.

I'm not high. You're high.

Yep. 51 career games with 35 receptions for 540 yards and 1 TD. He's a JAG at best.

He’s averaging 5.5 yards a game this year and just played FORTY NINE PERCENT of the snaps. He’s been a screaming net negative all year in the BS role they have him playing.

There’s no defending his usage; it’s one of the most inexplicably dumb personnel decisions I can ever recall.

Just trade a stale bag of chips for Stoll and call it a day.

Stoll provides the team with 0.0 yards per game. How is that an improvement?

Who do you propose replacing him with? It is a waste of time to identify a problem without proposing a solution to that problem.

Tuesday Morning Eagles-Broncos Game Score Predictions Update

With the Cowboys, Chiefs, Rams and Buccaneers all dispensed with, it is on to Week Five and the 15th meeting between the Eagles and Broncos. The current series stands at Eagles with 9 wins and Broncos with 5 wins.

So as we do each week, we are gathering Game Score predictions. As always, please tag your prediction post with @mattwill that way I will be sure to see/record it.  Score predictions can also have an optional "Bonus Pick" tiebreaker prediction.  I will be taking predictions right up until Kickoff. If someone posts a prediction without a tag, please reply to it including the @mattwill tag.

@Screaminbeagle was the winner of the Week Four chicken dinner with the closest prediction.

In the first four weeks the closest predictors have been

@Freshmilk and @Bwestbrook36 in Week One's 72 predictions

@just relax in Week Two's 55 predictions

@Diehardfan in Week Three's 56 predictions

@Screaminbeagle in Week Four's 61 predictions

For those of you who missed it, the results of the Week Four predictions can be viewed at the link below.

I already answered that which started this pointless conversation.

This is an extremely conservative offense which has struggled to consistently get the ball in hands of stud WR's like AJ Brown and Devonta Smith and you are concerned about having a backup TE with receiving skills whose receiving skills are below average at best. With all of the running this team does and specifically running from 12 personnel they would be FAR better off with just some dude at TE who can block at even an average level as opposed to Calcaterra who is literally one of the worst blocking TE's in the entire league.

None of this is even remotely complicated but as per usual you feel the need to insert yourself into other's conversations with your nonsense, making things complicated.

Serious question, do you even watch the games?

Dude HAS to be trolling because nobody is that dumb. Calcaterra brings nothing to the table for this team. They can't even get the ball to AJ Brown and dude wants them to have a backup TE with receiving skills even though his primary job is to block which he can't do at all. How anyone can watch this team and not realize how important it is for TE's to be good blockers is crazy to me. Hell Goedert is an actual really good receiving TE and he is lucky to get 4 or 5 targets a game in this offense.

All the conversations on this board are open to anyone and everyone who wants to participate in them. If you want to have a private conversation that is what PM is for.

With that said, "some dude" is vague at best. What specific dudes do you propose? Finding Tight Ends who can block is extremely difficult.

If you really don't want receiving skills, then why not go with a Jumbo Package with an extra O-Lineman?

Wouldn’t he as opposed to striking Hurts with his helmet? Watching it live it’s not a natural looking tackle and looks like he went to brace himself.

Maybe it was intentional, just saying he could have don’t a lot worse if he was trying to intentionally hurt him.

This is true. Very few players actually have the mentality today of making the hit and just dealing with the fall out. Different mindset from years ago. It's likely better all around that they have that mentality, but its not the same game I grew up with. And even that was dramatically different from what it was back in the era of someone like Nighttrain Lane.

This Eagles should be able to handle the Broncos with ease if they play even 85% of what they are capable of.

Honest question: Has this team played at 85% of what they are capable of yet this season?

I'd say that they have hit 100% capacity on a few occasions for brief shining moments, then have recoiled to maybe 20% or so at times. Defensively, there have been massive lapses (like the two 70+ yard TDs this past week, or the first half against Dallas, or even the first half against the Rams, though they stiffened up to really only allow FGs, not TDs). Offensively they are much more Hyde this year than Jekyll. Momentary surges of competence has been the norm. We thought they'd broke out offensively against the Rams in the 2nd half, and the Bucs in the first half. That was 4 consecutive quarters of competent offensive play, only for them to turn around and in the second half not complete one pass, and have only about 30 yards of total offense in the 2nd half (if we discount the intentional safety on the last play).

I'd put this team as having played roughly at about 67% capacity for the vast majority of the year... and did so against some really tough opponents, which just speaks to how ridiculously talented this team really is. Its crazy to think. I remember years where the team could actually be playing at its maximum capacity and still lose. Now, we are winning and we can sit here and nitpick how they win. It's a really nice 'problem' to have. And, even in this post, I am complaining about the team's inconsistency and bemoaning their inability to play to their potential. We've been spoiled by this team!

Not at all. At the hospital, Hill revealed his true identity.

We really are lucky

I don't understand the trend of these guys all putting tweets out complaining that people are being critical of the Eagles. It's like the if you don't agree with someone, you hate them mindset. Just because the Eagles are undefeated means we can't be critical of or point out areas of improvement? This new generation is so damn soft. Criticism should be welcome. Doesn't mean we are taking the current era for granted. You should always want to improve. You should never be satisfied. It's not being negative, it's not hating your team, it's wanting the best from the best and there's not a damn thing wrong with it. SACK the F up Barry and every account out there with a similar message.

Guess what, the Eagles won the Super Bowl but the running game sucked. They could have been much better at it.

Complaining about the rushing performance in the Super Bowl is really missing the forest from the trees. We blew them out.

I fully expect a dog fight and wouldn't be shocked if we came out flat and end up coming out of it with our first loss. Their defense is pretty darn good and Nix ain't too shabby either.

I’m too far behind to try to catch up. What’s the consensus…. That’s a career for Hill?

I know nothing of the Broncos. Like NOTHING.

I wouldn’t be so sure. The last two Eagles-Broncos games I attended were lost 21-49 and 20-52.

I just secured tickets to the game this AM.

I was going to say…I think the Broncos may be the single NFL team I know the least about. If I had to name as many players from each nfl team as I could, the Broncos would definitely come up last.

I was at those games as well. By the middle of the 2nd qtr they were over. We did get to see TO turn a WR screen into an 80 yard or so TD in 2005. The 41-16 loss in Denver in '98 saw that one too. It was 28-0 aftet the first qtr. Bubby Brister was the Broncos QB. The 52-20 game in 2005 there was so much rain.

Thanks for dialing up a loss for us this week. Hope you have good seats and it doesn't rain.
