Sure this is old news, but watching that Super Bowl episode of The Kingdom was awesome! Hearing Mahomes and all the Chiefs players yell the F word was titillating.

The flip side of this is that I don't see any connection to Howie and ego regarding the fact that Green was a throw-in in the CJGJ trade.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I wish they would've signed Rice

I believe they will between Week One and Week Two. Long week between games with time to bring him up to speed. For now Marshall is already up to speed so no distraction away from game preparation

It might mean absolutely nothing, but last week the teams web page depth chart had no backup for Q and CB2 was Jackson/Ringo as 1st and Bennett as 3rd. Now, it shows Ringo as the backup to Q… with Jackson/Bennett fighting for CB2.

We'll find out in about 75-80 hours.

@Connecticut Eagle

I’ll do it if @Connecticut Eagle doesnt want to.

@RememberTheKoy

I know you catch alot of sheet in here, but that was a wild and trippy hype video you got there. Ready to run through walls now to see the game on Thursday.

All things being equal (and I do think its pretty close) maybe he would be my preference. But I do have some concern Jerry Rice would begin hanging around on our sideline and I'm not interested in that at all. For that reason, I prefer Baker.

Lampkin had to be on the 53 man roster for them to IR him, without a designation, and have him able to return. The only real link to Green is that they had to have someone off the roster in order to get Lampkin on, and then IR him. So, Lampkin goes to IR, freeing up a spot on the roster, and they would be foolish not to hold someone on the roster and allow someone to be poached off the PS that they wanted to protect. The logical choice, based on the roster move, would be Green. Either because they really don't want to lose him more than others on the PS (at least yet) or they had someone nosing around him and had to add him to the roster to hold on to him.

So, to me that shows that they want to work with Green still and don't want to lose him yet... BUT, that he's not higher in priority than the 52 guys ahead of him (or that they felt less comfortable letting any of those guys hit the waiver wire, compared to Green.

The flip side of this is that I don't see any connection to Howie and ego regarding the fact that Green was a throw-in in the CJGJ trade.

I can't keep track of what the impacts of all these roster manipulations have on the salary cap...even Over the Cap seems to be befuddled.

As of this moment they show Green on the PS @ $315K and Lampkin on IR @ $490K...go figure.

What Rice, the one on KC who is suspended for 6 weeks?

That's just the way Howie likes it!

Green's base salary on the roster is likely $1.1M, as that's the vet minimum for 3 years of service. They likely didn't take on any dead cap space when he was cut, as his signing bonus proration hit against the Texans cap at the time of the trade. Whatever the contract details were, they are nullified now and the Eagles aren't on the hook for it.

Jerry's son. Brendan, I believe.

Correct.

Lamb is predominantly a slot WR; I doubt they’ll have Q playing in the slot much, because then you need two guys at boundary CB who didn’t start there last season

So what's wrong with DeJean handling Lamb? Q can shadow Pickett (or Lamb) based upon the offense presented.

Also, please be advised that Dallas only shows 4 WR on their active roster (Toliver/Turpin).

Perhaps the will be using 2 TE sets to "establish" a running game.

If correct, that would explain several concerns...mainly that the Eagles weren't burdened with his remaing pro-rated signing bonus. If so, I can now understand Howie's decision process more clearly.

I defer to your better judgment regarding the choice between the two.

Do we need both Jenkins and Latu on the PS?

Otherwise, I like our PS

— Campbell is a bit of an unknown, but clearly King likes him.

— Cooks makes a lot of sense based off his Training Camp

— Covey, Epps and Estime all make sense for obvious reasons.

— Felix-Fualo is there for a reason

— Both Johnsons and McCord make obvious sense, as do Nickerson, Pierce, APR, Sam and Thomas.

— I’m less sold on Jenkins, Latu, and Marshall.
