I think that applies to the lack of motion and condensed formation. There are issues like the route combinations that were less varied. It's clear there needs to be an outside voice to influence Sirianni. I think there needs to be a discussion about Hurts and whether some of the problems do relate to his lack of willingness to run certain concepts.

They may want to keep him but he's a UFA. I am not sure that they can do anything about the dead money with a new contract. It's possible they can do something with an extension.

I hope that Howie is reaching out to their agents about coming to the Eagles. I also wonder how much the Eagles want an OC that will see this as a stepping off point to a HC position. They may want someone like Frank Reich who is likelier to stay longer term.

I’m not a cap nut but overthecap says if we extend him we "save” the money. Something else I assume an extension would push some of what’s due down the road a little further vs having to pay the piper now.

Dallas would have the leverage though after a good season and with a hard deadline for us to have a deal done to save that money.

Honestly if the money wasn’t an issue and we were going off projected free agents right now I would try and sign Kyle Pitts who also finally had a good year and is a lot younger.

The Eagles need a better pass rush in those situations. They just don't have a closer who gets sacks at the end of games and puts teams away.

Also an issue. Which comes down to they needed Carter to play like we saw in 2024 especially in the playoffs.

Phillips should’ve been that guy. Or hunt or smith. imo and said at the time I’d have given hunt and davis off week 18. Both had played more snaps than they ever had.

I have a tougher time going hard after Phillips because he played 17 regular season games in a row. And then finally got a bye week in week 18. If the eagles played their guys against the commanders to get the 2 seed, he’d have gone 19 weeks in a row. That would’ve been ridiculous for any player.

While the defense obviously knows the offense struggled, I bet to a man they feel like they let the team down by not closing out that game. Ojomo himself said the defense needs to learn to close games out better.

Brian Daboll, Todd Monken, Kevin Stefanski, Mike McDaniel, Cliff Kingsbury, Kevin Patullo, Other....who will be the Eagles next OC, who do you want?

If he’s fired and not demoted, I would assume we hear it today or tomorrow. If he’s being demoted, I think it could be quiet and all of a sudden we’re hearing leaks about OC interviews.

demoting him would be a terrible course of action.

Patullo. I really think the all hitch or four verts offense is cutting edge.

If he weren’t Sirianni’s best friend I’d say there’s no chance of a demotion.

I really like Stefanski but I think he gets ATL job. I said months ago I thought Kafka was the guy they'd actually hire so I'll stick with that prediction. I think Kingsbury is a realistic option. I don't think he'll get Ravens job tho he could and the Eagles were close with him last time

I think this is an excuse considering the defense just got a bye week AND the offense controlled the ball most of the game.

We all thought we had a Super Bowl defense just like last year. Sadly, we did not.

All year long the defense has had to pitch perfect games, they finally couldn't on Sunday and people are blaming them instead of the offense that scored a whopping 6 second half points against a bottom 15 defense.

The defense didn't play perfectly like they did for most of the season, and we lost because the offense yet again failed to reach 20 points for like the 9th time this season

There's a distinction... the defense deserves more than 0% of the blame, and that's more interesting to talk about than the offense which is just depressing to think about.

Like someone said earlier. ....the defense this year was really good but not great. They had some rough moments this year letting teams come back, Dallas, Denver, couldn't stop Dart and the NYG.

That's why it's so important he goes. You can't bring in a new guy and saddle him with that baggage. I think Luwie knows that and will allow the purge of O staff this time. But time will tell

I wish Lurie would nut up and fire Sirianni and Patullo. Start over and actually hire a head coach who isn’t a "personality manager” and can actually fix things when they go wrong

They need to get it to it and stop dilly dallying

Daboll is applying for head coaching jobs. Monken said he wants to go with Harbaugh.

Monken is interviewing to be the OC in Tampa…

Sure, more than 0 is like 10%. You obviously have the offense, then you have elliot missing the early PAT that would've at least given us a chance to tie at the end, then far far down the list is the defense that forced two turnovers and gave the offense pretty good field position for the most part.

The defense is so far from being a problem which is why it's just as pointless to talk about. Funny how every game people are claiming the defense choked away, the offense failed to do anything in the second half. There was zero complementary football, all year.

It sucks their worst game (which was still fine) came in the playoffs. But if the offense scored even 1 TD off of 2 turnovers near midfield then it's a different game. They can't make every stop, but that's what they needed to do.

Lurie/Howie allowing that would be very troublesome

If they keep Siri, it wouldn’t shock me if demoting him happens. Mostly bec he’s a clown that has no idea what he’s doing

I'm guessing they do. And so would anyone that has a team mentality.

There is urgency because if Siri pulls a dug and says if Patullo goes then I go then you'd want to know while the HC candidates are still all out there. I very much doubt that happens but you need to drive it to a conclusion asap

I'd really like to see them officially announce Patullo is gone today or tomorrow. I think the optics of waiting are lame. There is no need to be respectful for appearances sake. Quite the opposite. Everyone and their brother knows Patullo was a problem and needs to go.

I think there will be a new OC announced before Patullo's role is officially changed. Sirianni has enough sway to keep Patullo.

Patullo was well liked by the players. I don't think there's personal animosity between him and Jalen. My concern is that they need to develop new talent and keeping him on staff isn't going to help.

They just have to sign him before the start of the new league year when he becomes an UFA to avoid the dead money accelerating. If he hits free agency, he's as good as gone.

I don't think they extend him. He's probably going to want guarantees and years the Eagles don't want to commit to. Especially after making him take a pay cut and almost trading him, it's hard to come back from that.

I agree that they don’t deserve to be blamed for the loss when you consider the situation they were put in all year & also in this game. They needed to be almost perfect on Sunday and just couldn’t do it. It’s not meant to dismiss their effort, but when viewing a SB caliber D, I would’ve expected them to hold the 49ers to at least one FG on their two TD drives in the 2nd half. Sure, very high expectations and unfair when you consider the crap show on the other side..
