March 9Mar 9 Feels like a 2 year, $26mm deal for Chubb could make sense. Wonder if that gets it done.

Or we could play him at NCB and move Coop outside. Based on Vic and Howie's comments, I doubt plan A is moving Coop outside, but again - provides flexibility at a minimal cost.I don't remember, wasn't that flexibility for positions talked about when they brought him in last year? With a full offseason for them to work with him, they can identify where he fits best and prepare for different match ups.
March 9Mar 9 I just saw the Alec Pierce news. Lol, if I'm Howie I'm telling New England to give me the 1st and 2nd I want or have fun with Romeo Doubs and Kayshon Boutte as your top two WR's next season.

But if they have to move him outside, they can. Don't have to force a CB signing.

They released him in mid February.

For both health, AND performance reasons.Oh FFS, Smith was coming off a Super Bowl muscle tear that he reaggravated. He was coming on at the end of the year, just as Phillips disappeared. My preference is a OLB in the draft.
