30M AAV is straight Bye Felicia territory. Thanks for the comp pick.

That's freaking insane

Honestly this probably for the best. So many reasons on paper to re-sign Phillips, but deep down it felt like the wrong move

Giants got Likely, awesome move for them. Division gets better and better

Will Fangio play Michael Carter this year?

I would imagine he’d move to safety and replace Reed

Losing these guys all goes back to Howie stopping mid-season negotiations. It has cost them several top free agents now with a "benefit" Howie has invented in his own mind.

Ill take both.

My guess is Chubb. Doubt Howie gives up another 3rd rd pick to get Greenard who wants a new deal

3 year $40M for Likely

Any chance that Philips contract could land a 3rd round comp?

With the cap going up some teams that suck have way too much money to screw it up for all the other teams

Michael Carter just got 3 million of it!

No

That's what HE was saying.

He's a player and probably much better than where he gets drafted imo...

Yes, if Howie doesn't add any significant FA

That makes Goedert pretty affordable doesnt it? Give him 30M of it guaranteed, 10M of salary spread over 3 years is only about 3.3M in cap space. Prorate his 30M bonus money over 3 years plus probably 2 void years so 5 years total, youre looking at minimal dead cap on the end of that deal as well.

Very likely. Milton Williams got less and was a 3rd round comp

$80M fully guaranteed for him is too much, especially when you consider his injury history.

$20M per year that includes non guaranteed money sounds about right.

There are guarantees and guarantees. If it's an injury guarantee, which it almost certainly is, considering his history, the team can take insurance to mitigate that cost.

We get comp picks. I would rather have a GM that is aggressive in roster building.

Well they can have fun with all that. It's still too much

yeah thats the obvious elephant in the room. Now you need to repalce an edge. So keeping that comp pick will be tricky.

Greenard is better. I'd make that call. There's a few decent edges but nothing great.

Oweh...
