I know "Trust Howie” and all but that didn’t work out great last offseason. The Eagles now have immediate needs at edge and safety headed into a draft where they’re almost forced to load up on offense. Not ideal. We’ll see what Howie has cooked up.

Btw last offseason the Eagles let some guys go for deals that weren’t crazy, tried to save a few extra million by going cheaper but substantially worse st several positions and ended up having to blow whatever money they saved later by signing guys off the street and making panic trades to shore up those positions those guys failed at. Something to keep in mind this year at safety if they end up going dirt cheap there and it backfires later.

8 million a year is worth it for Blank. That move feels like letting F Johnson or MB go last year where they didn't get a ton and Howie got too cute.

I only saw people saying don't give him more than 10 million a year. Again, this feels like a Howie is getting too cute move like last year with Rodgers/MB/F. Johnson. Was he amazing? No, but he was solid and now they have a hole because he didn't want to spend 8 million.

~8m/yr for three years? Kinda shocked at this...that is a very friendly contract for a starting safety, I saw earlier 10m-12m/yr was the going rate for a mid-tier good starter.
