Yep, and not all that odd. Eagles always announce trades as "conditional” but use the higher pick. I remember Wentz and or Reddick were announced that way. The trade away team wants it to look better for themselves. The trade for wants it to look better for themselves.

we won a Super Bowl with Huff riding pine. No idea if Greenard playing more messing up the juju. Common sense says we would have been even better, but you can’t throw away an assured SB for a hypothetical SB. Had to be Huff, just like we had to have Chip Kelly

The OL board is fairly meh at this point. I feel like it would be picking one just to pick one.

it never made any sense to take any OL in the first 2 days of THIS draft class.

Still, AJ also held up free agency for us because the money is tight taking on his cap hit. In addition to using picks to replace him.

AJ deserves nothing but hate from eagles fans at this point for the amount of damage he caused this team in this offseason period.

Eh…AJ would be gone after 2026, and DG has almost left the last 2 years. This is long term planning and necessary as cap dollars shift to defense.

It's a different offense, one that will use a H-back a lot more.

Remember Ertz? He oouldn't block and no one cared, as long as H-backs can take on LBs, you don't ask them to block 260 lb DEs in-line (as the Eagles have done, hope the new OC is smarter than that).

Stowers will probably play at 245 lbs or so, converted QB and probably still filling out that frame.

Fine value as a late 2nd rd pick, if he's #2 TE and has 30-40 catches a year. He should be much better than Calcaterra, who can neither block or present much of a threat as a receiver.
