But who is the FA edge rusher they could have afforded that they didn't sign? Big Fred went out in search of a chance to start. The biggest miss was Ojulari - I liked the signing at the time. But this is the reality for last season and this season - we don't have much flexibility cap wise. The biggest miss was letting Rodgers go.And Stoutland trotting out the walking wounded week after week.

It's guaranteed, so that means it must be paid by March 20. Unless he pushes that back, trading him after June 1 means you pay him $7.22mm for 2026 and then trade him away. Yes, it spreads the cap hit, but if they pay that bonus, I have to think they keep him.

Tuesday at 08:10 PM5 days 1 hour ago, Sack that QB said:None of this contests what I said though. Their main problem during the season was on offense, but none of their signings in free agency worked out and they had to blow picks in trades(Phillips, Fred Johnson, Bigsby, Jaire) and more money(Za'Darius Smith, talking BG out of retirement) because their signings didn't work. Those are two separate truths. It's objectively true that their free agent haul last year did not work out. Hope they have something better planned this year than dart throws at bargain bin guys. The only real issue I had last year was not keeping Rodgers who would have been cheap, and they tried to find corner help in a few ways. As vikas also replied to you about this, they could not afford to do more than they did. Lurie and Howie publicly said so. Expect people to leave, they're preparing to pay big extensions. At least they tried by doing things to address the problems. Getting Phillips helped at Edge. Nitpicking the minor issues that didn't work well is a separate truth but not something to be that upset about. The defense actually played very well last year considering injuries too. The offense was the main problem. The roster was built to repeat and the offense ruined it.
