I'd be good with Sweat as well. If money is so tight they can't sign a solid safety for 5 million I don't like the idea of paying him that contract. How do you pay him that and then pay Sweat or Greenard? I don't see how they can.

That's true and even though I trust him as a fan it's just frustrating. Again, it's not me wanting him to make a huge move, but I'm all about smart moves getting solid players that don't cost much so they can focus on other stuff. We'll see.

Sweat is not available, that rumor is made up. It’s really Greenard or bust at this point, they’ve struck out everywhere else.

I'd be fine with him doing so, but I want it to be because he looks at the board and says EMW is more talented than any OL or edge on the board vs they are better but we need a safety so they reach.

I think/hope that Greenard would still be in play given this is only a one year deal and after how badly the likes of Ojulari and Uche fared last year I can’t imagine they’d just go the bargain bin route and pray again in back to back years. Especially when they saw the impact an Edge like Phillips had on their defense.

Also the Flyers are an absolute joke. They keep saying they are in a rebuild but they are neither rebuilding nor a contender. Too bad to be a legit playoff team, too good to get the high draft picks necessary to move forward. Can't wait until they pick 13 or 14 and get the next Luchanko or Nesbitt.

I would really like the Ebiketie signing if they had a legit top edge rusher on the team. He would be a really nice 3rd guy and pass rushing specialist with some upside. In addition to not having that elite guy they were already small on the edge and they just signed a guy who is 6'2 and 250 lbs soaking wet.

This is another one of those raw PSU LBs that gets hyped based on traits. He has long arms and big hands. And he was pretty new to football.

His best ball could still be ahead with good coaching. But I'm not gonna get too hyped. Still need Greenard or Crosby.

There are holes at S, O line depth/future, TE, Edge depth that can be filled with other free agents & draft picks.

People also forget they have star players like Barkley, Smitty, Mailata, Baun, Carter, Q, DeJean...they have a very good roster. Just need some supplements.

My thoughts exactly. It's a really good signing in a vacuum so I don't want to trash it but it's not what they need either. If they traded a pick and Nolan Smith for Maxx Crosby for example it would be a great move.

Yep, they can just waive their magic wand and draft a rookie who will come in and have 12 sacks like Greenard has multiple times in his career.

I feel like we have 3 solid DEs now and if BG is coming back then we’re carrying a 4th which means you’re either drafting someone or making a move but likely not both
