I kept hearing in here no wants CJ Gardner Johnson. Only Superbowl contenders like the Texans, Bears and Bills sign him. Never bought into that. He's an immediate upgrade with this safety crew we have here. Should have signed him last year for peanuts along with Samuel, while our secondary was getting thrashed with guys like Makuba, Brown & Ringo manning the backfield with more snaps than you want. There were easy low risk high reward moves to make last year, but no, Howie bought into Jaire Alexander and Bennett. And we had to hide Adoree. Just saying.... I am surprised with 6M for him tho. Need more deets.

He never sticks anywhere. Wears out his welcome quick. The season hasn't started. He didn't last long in any of those places. The Bears didn't want him back either

I know he wears out his welcome. I was just looking to sign him for the year while we had trash back there. And he can play slot as well. It was an absolute no brainer compared to what we were putting out there last year. Guy has played well as an Eagle is all I know.

If they don’t plan to do anything at safety other than signing some bargain bin player in free agency then they better draft one in the first 3 rounds. You’d think they would want to draft proof themselves a little more than that though especially considering they don’t even know if Mukuba is any good. I thought he was average at best when he started. Still want to wait and see the money for Brisker before I get annoyed but I bet it isn’t much. The Eagles going bargain bin for safeties almost always bites them in the ass.
