If the Eagles want to go offensive heavy in this draft... most guys would likely not start year one because this offense is pretty well set at most positions. It's the future where it becomes murky. Given that, if they did plan to go offense heavy in this draft I wouldn't mind trading down multiple times over for future picks. Like if the Eagles at 23 get a Rams-Falcons offer like last year where a team offers their 2027 1st and 2026 2nd to move down really far, I'd do it in a heartbeat. And hope the 2027 draft class is as loaded as advertised. That's my hope. Because I really don't like this draft class. And I don't think you'd be losing much because most of those rookies wouldn't be playing anyway barring injury.

No thanks

That would be terrible to have to give up 23

The Rams have the 13th pick in the first round, which you would swap with.

Freeling is the only prospect at tackle that I've seen and like. He needs to get stronger and he needs a redshirt year. The rest of those guys are all guards at the next level. JMHO.

Not Lomu?

Honestly seems weird they are interested at all considering what they already have.

That's why I think they are being used as leverage. Everyone knows Rams don't care about draft picks and will make huge moves and are going all in. So throw their name out there and create the narrative they are making a strong push for him to get NE to pick up their offer.

That's not good enough, moving up ten picks in a weak draft? I would not be onboard with that.

Maybe give them a third and AJ but I'm not giving up AJ to move up ten slots.

Yeah that’s what i think. Unless their logic is get AJ to replace Adams. Trade Adams to get some draft capital back and clear $20 mil of cap to extend nacua and brown. But really i think this is a leverage pull by the eagles with goedert’s day of reckoning upon us

Yeah I highly doubt the Rams make sense unless they are offering Jared Verse in a deal. The Eagles are clearly looking hard at Edge right now. I don't think the Rams would even consider it though unless they are just desperate to get over the hump now and think they have enough at Edge elsewhere to withstand dumping Verse.

I’d be interested in Bryon young. He also needs an extension as he’s entering the last year of his rookie deal. So essentially if they deal for aj, they need to give nacua an extension as he’s on the final year of his rookie deal, young needs one for same reason and Aj will ask for an extension considering he only has $4 mil guaranteed after 2026. Feels like Aj going there means Adams is likely out to create more cap space

Question. Huff signed a contract with the Birds for three years. Traded last year. Retired a year early. Teams can claw back on signing bonuses when there is an early retirement. Can the Birds do that with Huff, since he was traded? If they can, they should.

That's a thought.

I just don't see the rams parting with established talent. They're looking to add.

Adams is different because he's declining and Brown is an immediate direct replacement.

We should more eo be looking for the young talent that hasn't established themselves as starters yet.

At edge that's Josiah Stewart.

Yeah i tend to think the rams wouldn’t do that either. I do think they’d do something like Adams, 13 for aj and our late 3rd rounder. Get a couple years younger WR to go with nacua going forward

Playing along with the Rams’ alleged trade interest in AJ…

Terrance Ferguson and to a lesser extent Colby Parkinson would be a must have secondary piece in the deal. I think Ferguson is gonna be really good.

Agree on Ferguson. I mentioned him, Jordan Whittington, Josiah Stewart, and Stetson Bennett.

All are young, talented, non-starters (as of yet) who fill needs for us and are on rookie contracts.

I said if the eagles cant get teams to give up the picks we want, the Rams are rich in these young talented players to make a great package in a trade.

wtf

The Rams are not going to trade a young talented player for AJ Brown.

What in God’s name is going on down there?

I said centerpiece. Other picks and players can be added.

Yep. There are so many edges there's really good ones who you hardly even hear about. Hes one.

Gabe Jacas is another who is a great fit for us, great size and can move. Even drop in space surprisingly well at his size.

My take on Goedert is that they are going to sign him and are just waiting on structure. The notion that they'll only sign him if Aj is traded would make sense from the Eagles standpoint but Goedert would have no incentive to just keep giving the Eagles more time as the market dries up unless he was assured that some format of deal was going to get done

LOL
