Thats where his team mates should be talking to him. Make the business decision. Is bis relationship with Hurts gone so quick?

Shut up and go dominate. Thats whats he loves, right?

Who knows but there has been a TON of noise about how the relationship with Hurts is totally broken.

Dude’s going after Bonnie Blues challenge with how many times he’s been passed around.

Goedert & agent have to agree to move the deadline right? They wouldn't do that without a reason. Still, this is odd.

Trade AJ for a 2nd and 3rd. I don't think, at this point, any Team is going to part with a 1st round pick for him.

That would be fine… But not until after June 1 in that case

Make one more run this year. May have to blow it up after 26 anyway. Barkley and AJ gone and they can get out of Hurts contract for the first time. Lane probably retired too

It’s somewhat interesting his deal is fully guaranteed. I can’t imagine he’s here long term regardless how he plays though. If he’s undisciplined/bad he’s gone. If he balls out, how do you pay him, Mitchell and DeJean all long term high money extensions?

Hopefully that is what happens and hopefully Brown can get his head around it.

They are likely negotiating with other teams as well, so why close the door to Eagles. If they get a better deal elsewhere they let the deadline pass and are gone - if not they still have the Birds to fall back on.

I think it’s one of two things, possibly both

  1. Goederts agent is dragging his feet because he gets massive leverage if Brown is/has been traded in the next few days and Howie knows letting Goedert walk kills Brown trade talks.

  2. Howie has a deal in place already with Goedert. He’s trying to create the narrative it’s either Goedert or Brown and he didn’t want to tip his hand by signing Goedert.

I think their plan at CB2 since they play to give Coop and Q big deals is to draft one somewhere on day 2 or 3 and/or try to find affordable guys in free agency for short term deals. If the free agents hit, great, if not, hope the draft pick does. Last year it was Adoree and Mac Williams. This year probably Woolen and another pick somewhere(maybe) though I could see them just rolling with Woolen and Jones and then get back to drafting one in the mid rounds against next year given it will be far enough removed from when they'll pay Coop and Q at that point.

You dont. He walks and you get a 3 most likely

It's been interesting to follow all the insiders takes on AJ Brown over the past several weeks. Schefter has stood out as a bit of an outlier. Garafolo has flip flopped between saying he thinks he stays and gets traded, Rap sheet hasn't really offered opinions he's just reported stuff, the local guys have given their opinions... most of the local guys think he'll be traded, McLane is the one who's said he doesn't think he'll be traded but he said he's not super confident in that. But Schefter is kind of the outlier who's been pretty consistent and adamant for weeks that he doesn't think he'll be traded. He's been saying the Eagles don't want to trade him and they only will if they get an offer that blows them away. Worth noting that Schefter was also the one who when everyone was talking about the Jalen Carter "rumors" that erupted, Schefter came out and said they aren't shopping Carter and have no interest whatsoever in trading Carter. Schefter also had the Stoutland story before anyone, but didn't report it(for some reason). Will be interesting to follow along and see who ends up being right.

Yeah. They still need to draft one

True, also a decent chance Dickerson retires, and who knows what happens with Cam over the next two seasons. He’s been banged up a lot.

You think teams don't know that AJ Brown wants out and is maneuvering for a huge contract extension. It's a badly kept secret. Here's the trade with the Pats. 2nd & a 4th for AJ. Or a 2nd and Boutte, which I would be happy with as we fill the WR2 hole and sell high here before AJ flames out with a bad hammy or knee. The catch by Boutte in the Playoffs vs. Texans was ridiculous. 23 yr old with one year left on rookie contract.

I believe Howie asked so he can tell Brown he tried and to gauge his value for next offseason when He may well trade Brown. Anything can happen but I strongly suspect,Brown plays for the Eagles this coming season.

Schefter has a direct line to Roseman. Roseman knows he can't trade AJ until the deadline, that is why there were reports of him trying to do a split trade with teams that no team was going for. Roseman needs to make sure he can keep AJs value of a first and day 2 pick until June 1st comes. He will play hard ball until then and make it seem there is at least 2 teams in trying to trade for AJ.

I'm sure this has been posted but I only have service for a min. Love hearing him happy and more of a reason you don't trade Brown. Give him all he needs around him to have thw offense function to its potential

I think the best play is to make AJ a deadline move. Keep him and see how the new offense looks, if the offense still sucks then flip him to a contender at the deadline for 2027 picks and blow up the offense next offseason.

Little early to be waiving the white flag isnt it?

We are in to the big money days for Hurts. He better up his game and make it worth it.

For once we agree about Jalen. If he bombs this year then they likely move on.
