Also, that was not a championship defense. Inconsistent overall. Too many holes at safety and CB. Defensive line was solid, but not championship good without MW and Sweat. Seahawks had a better defense by a solid margin. People have overstated the coaching and/or injuries as the problems last year to cover this all up.

Depth is an issue if the team isn't playing the players that were hurt. The bigger issue last season was the ineptitude on offense. Signing Becton or another back-up OG wasn't going to change that ineptitude. The defense did get worn down and that was because of snap count. We are lucky we had Fangio instead of Billy Davis.

I'm looking for a rebound season here. But I don't think this is a Superbowl contender today. To feel this way kinda sucks, considering where we stood 13.5 months ago. Looking for at least 2 championship type moves for the rest of this offseason, to make me feel differently. I'll let you know when I see them. Dart throwing the rest of the way ain't gonna get this done. Need impact players for TODAY!

That actually was my phone number for a brief time- January of 1996 to April of 1997- my apartment during my last semester in college and about a year after graduation.

Asked for it when I moved into an 867 exchange, and in the time before everyone had all their numbers programmed into cell phones, my friends never forgot my phone number.

It was a glorious experience that became less glorious once I got a real job and had drunk people calling me in the middle of the night. The last of my roommates who lived at that apartment moved out in about 2005, and it hasn't been in service in my area code since.

Most fans understand the plan. There are some though, who have screamed for 2 years that Howie is failing the offseason. I totally understand Howie's approach. He's leaving money to sign his stars but he's also trying to improve in areas when the opportunity is right. He wanted Phillips but had a walk away number. He's always looking for the next opportunity. Sometimes that doesn't surface as fast as people would like. Ultimately he has to stack enough quality low cost moves with good drafting and likely one move like Greenard. That's really hard to do. Usually one of two GMs a year have the combo of skill and luck to thread that needle.

Well, its pretty unfair of McShay to say that guy is nit picking. The guy brought a specific example to illustrate his point. That shouldnt be used against him.

Every scout is going to plant their flag on a player or a few. So I guess Miller is one of McShay's guys. But Miller very clearly has weaknesses.
