You have a lot of OTs, even 6'7'' guys with shorter arms, and weak cores. The Utah guys are weaker guys too.

IIRC Miller has 34.5" arms, it's Thiernan (?) who is 6'8" and has 32" arms... that's a leverage nightmare.

Well, Howell is the guy with the actual sack production. Bain's sack was rather unimpressive. For one of these guys, it seems like the lack of arm length was a bigger deal than the other. And its not the one thats getting credit for being great in spite of it. Whats up with that?

I know Mesidor is 45 years old, but most of the MIA footage I watched he was regularly getting around the edge to the passer faster than Bain was.

I'm gonna plant my flag on this take now. My most hated pick in the first round would be Blake Miller. Not because I think he's some garbage player. But it would be the most boring pick. I think he's a very "safe" low upside pick that doesn't have blue chip upside. At least with Proctor(who I wouldn't love either) you look at his skill set and go "Ok, I see the potential and upside, if he hits his ceiling, he'll be a stud." Blake Miller would be such a boring loser pick. You gotta chase blue chip upside in the first round if doable. The picks I hate most in drafts(aside from taking guys I think suck) are boring picks that lack juice and upside.

I sincerely hope Howie doesn't lock in on OT and continues to take BPA. If it costs them OL again, so be it.

But I'm gonna get out ahead of this take early, before we get closer to the draft and buzz on who each team likes starts to gain steam.

Hard not to be annoyed when a player so selfishly puts themselves above the team. Openly cares about their own stats above team success. Complains when he doesn't get the ball despite winning then goes out and half asses his effort in game. If you are going to go the route he did with the complaining then you better show up in games and not have the drops, quit routes and lazy attempts that he did throughout the year.
