I find it so curious why there is such a double standard for discussing Howell vs Bain.

With Bain, its the short arms "yeah but there were issues measuring arm length at the combine this year"

With Howell its the insane pass rush "yeah but he has historically short arms"

Well, Howell is the guy with the actual sack production. Bain's sack was rather unimpressive. For one of these guys, it seems like the lack of arm length was a bigger deal than the other. And its not the one thats getting credit for being great in spite of it. Whats up with that?

Miller moves a lot better than Fred if we are really doing OZ stuff, like most of the prospects who move well and have good armlength the question is if they are going to get beat by power.

Silly comparison with Nolan Smith.... wrong in many ways.

Yes, he does move well. And the eagles have let the backup OL go who done move well, so maybe thats why Fred isnt re-signed.

Miller though, doesnt even have very good arm length I dont think. Arent they in the 32 range?

You have a lot of OTs, even 6'7'' guys with shorter arms, and weak cores. The Utah guys are weaker guys too.

I'm not sure, as armlength is a big deal. Perhaps the rationalization is that Bain has the play strength to fill-in as quasi-3T, or more likely there's more confidence that he'll hold up against the run.
