They once again ask why Alshon is playing more than Fulgham

Doug danced around it

Hurts gave the O a spark against a prevent D.  Hardly lighting it up in a playoff game in Seattle or New Orleans, Roob. Maybe he will get there, maybe he won't.

The more interesting hornets nest is how Wentz and coaching staff respond this week

Doug asked about why Alshon is playing so much over Fulgham. Long pause, sigh, then non-answer.

Doug did not commit to Wentz starting next week in his PC.

They asked who is starting next week and Doug said he needs to look at everything first

The worst possible thing that could happen to this team is that Hurts plays average to just above average the rest of the way and they end up winning three of their last four to save Doug's job. Anything short of Hurts looking like Mahomes in these games under Doug and a sure-fire star in this offense is detrimental to this team's future.

and foles had to leave before coming back and still isnt a franchise type qb.

I disagree.

That said, let Wentz leave and let's resign him as a backup in a few years to see if that helps him win a Super Bowl.  Since I guess once you get benched, you need to leave, get benched again and come back as a backup in order to "regain your confidence". I don't even like writing that it's so silly.

And NEWSFLASH:  Wentz was never an MVP.

Doug wants out. I'll hold the door for him and carry his bags.

So there is the Wentz washer camp.

There is the Hurts fan club.

Howie has his fan club.

What camp believes Wentz sucks, Hurts will be a gimmick qb, and Howie is horrible?

Sign me up for that one.

Doug says he hasn't decided on a starter for the Saints.

Which likely means Hurts(JMO)

Lol no sympathy for Doug getting these questions. dope FO and coaches put themselves in this position

Wentz sucks, Howie is horrible, curious to see Hurts.

Kinda funny that K’Von Wallace said a storm was coming and then he whiffed badly on Aaron Jones’ game-clinching TD run. Did he do anything positive today? He might have been at fault on the Tonyan TD too.

That will be a tough spot for a rookie in his first start. The Saints have a really good pass defense. They allow the fewest passing yards per game and rush the passer very well.

Agree mostly but I still want hurts to play rest of year just in case, he’s probably gimmick let him prove it

Stoutland, Moorehead, and maybe Duce are the only staff members worth keeping around.

I want Jeff to sell the team. The CEO is ultimately responsible for the successes and failures of an organization. He gave Howie the keys to the car and Howie ran it into a ditch. They're best friends though. Sink the Fing ship and either hire a new captain or sell the fleet.

If Hurts looks good(which he will) Doug is still fired.

This. Doug has some of the worst calls on tape. So many mistakes. Players regressing. He has been called out on national TV 3 games in row.

Dude it's been going on since Hurts was drafted

Yeah but as long as Wentz wasn't benched the controversy can be contained. The FO can continue to say Hurts if if Wentz gets hurt, or a gimmick qb for now but maybe the qb of the future 4 plus years down the road.

Would it be smoke, yes, but benching your starter for Hurts officially starts it imo.

This team is not going to eat $33.8M dead cap to trade Wentz

Duce?? How? He's the one in charge of the RB rotation. He's been horrible

Someone asked Doug why is Alshon getting more snaps than Fulgham and it looked like his brain broke.

That guy is a huuuugee talker for someone that has done nothing on the field yet. I know he’s a rookie, but you’re not on Clemson anymore. Humble yourself a bit.

😬

Don't wanna read too much into this answer, but I think if Doug was sticking with Wentz, he'd have answered this more like "No, Carson is a competitor, he embraces a challenge."

Saints should kill us next week

howie should be fired now, but he wont be

doug canned after the season out of respect

Why Duce? He can’t even manage the RBs

I tend to agree, but if Wentz says "I want out".
