Not taking anything away from Hurts but I just can’t see his ceiling being higher than a more athletic Tyrod Taylor. Someone earlier threw out a McNabb comparison... no way he has that same arm talent

Arm strength does develop while in the league.

Lol Doug wont commit to Hurts in the PC

Jalen Hurts gets asked, what helped you the most?  Was it the play calling, etc?

He literally just said, "Nah, we just ran plays that have always been in."

I like this kid more and more everyday.

I still like Wentz and believe in him but damn! Shots fired. I like this kid. I hated the pick but never hated him or his play. I like the response

Wentz is the most sacked QB in the league. Today the Oline gave up 0 sacks against the number 1 defense in the league.

Doug Pederson just coached a rookie on his 1st start to dethroning the #1 seed #1 Defense playoff bound 9 straight winning streak Saints in December.

Surprised?

He took the plays that were there for him. He didn't force things, he didn't wait for things to unfold. If he needed to he ran. That helps the OL and the helps the offense stay on the field.

Getting peters out was a huge help and thats on doug

so is alshon playing over fulgham

He’s a 5 year college QB. His ceiling isn’t much higher than where he’s at now. The Cardinals  should be much more prepared to stop his running game.

Hurts was better than Wentz, and I’m a guy who hated the Hurts pick and seriously doubted whether he could even be an NFL QB.

All the bitter Wentz fanboys will make excuses for days, but no way in Hell we win this game with Carson at QB.

Bobby Hoying looked great in his first start. I'm not saying hurts will go that path but it's one game, Hopefully hurts can keep getting better

And also finally running the damn ball

2 more wins and they are pretty much locked into not starting Wentz next year.

Which is sad because Hurts looks like a great back up/change of pace QB.

*Reagor: disappointing- he hesitated crossing the field on the long ball rather than running hard throughout the route and missed a big play on a perfectly thrown ball.  Could have been a TD as he had a full step on the defender.

Hurts just tried to out Alpha male an Alpha male with that answer. Get the popcorn out!

The team balled out for Hurts today. Let's see what happens when Hurts has to ball out for the team.

Fulgham should be getting the start over Jeffery. He's the better player at this point and he'll be here next year. Jeffery won't

Dline played well again

And the turnovers

lets not forget hurts fumbled it back to them running

Wentz washers waiting for hurts to have a bad game when he is a rookie they are going to happen.  Wentz had 12 bad games in a row as a 5 year starter

Alex Smith injured. If he can't go the Redskins are done.

The level for good QB play is so skewed with this team because of how sluggish we've watched this offense play for the past two seasons now. So if we see a guy come in and complete a few passes in a row or break the pocket and pick up a first down, he looks like the messiah. That crossing route to Reagor where he ran for like 30 yards after the catch is a routine, weekly play for most professional and college teams and happens multiple times a game, and it felt like that was the first time we saw something like that since 2017. Hurts threw for 160 yards with just above 50% completion percentage. The only thing he did better than Wentz today was throw the ball away when nothing was there, not take stupid sacks, or have multiple turnovers.

Good story. Hopefully it isn't serious

And the Hurts humpers are happy. At least for 1 week.

Yeah they are begging for the rookie to slip up like he’s not playing his first year of pro ball. Sad
