Nate Ilaoa.

Sorry.  I mind mind-blanked on who the award was named for.  Then when I remembered, I wanted to type it out so I just made that your question.

You're welcome. 😅

Is it really football in a few days?

This is going to be a really interesting and ugly week of football me thinks.

Hope everyone is surviving the preapocalypse.

Yes and yes.  I'm just guessing, but don't think Goedert will be really ready until the end of September.   Hope I'm wrong.

Why don't you think he'll be ready? Is he hurt? Did I miss something?

He has a fracture in his thumb. Missed some time in camp to have surgery to presumably accelerate the healing. Probably won’t be 100% for a couple weeks at least, but no one knows for sure, especially with our team.

Love how closed Lipped they get to be anymore.

"ANY" news on the following?

"Alshon" ?

"Jalen R"?

Lane?

Barnett?

Avery ( Figure he's out just happy no surgery)

Sanders?

Hargrave?

Eagles picking up where they left off... Walking Wounded.

Who the heck is the GM in Chicago?  ...

What do I care? In the AFC , I'm a Raiders fan. Thanks brother.

I'm just preparing myself for Covid/Social Justice overload during week 1.

Followed by "Stand!" overload by our glorious draft dodger.

So, uh, Odell Beckham allegedly likes to get pooped on.

He’s a real #2 receiver.

Cleveland Steamer should be his new nickname

With Huntley, we have 10 2020 draft picks on the roster. That's more than the 2019/2018 classes combined. Always trade down if you can.

You just can't help yourself, can you.

Ostman secured it for 2019.

Some in here say he did nothing last year and this year... Not saying he should have been a lock for the roster, but he showed more than Avery who has done absolutely nothing who did make the roster.

Joe Ostman posthumously won the 2019 Nasty Nate and actively won the 2020 award and there is no real debate

Yes, thank you. Hell of a lot more than Avery who has showed nothing to date.

Not always, but I notice you didn't say the same to bpac55.

That's because i didn't see his post as being overtly political.

There was no reference to a party or person, just the state of the disease.

And Social Justice?  Please, just admit you like what he said and not what I said.

Curious, how many plays have you seen either make this offseason?   None for me.

Give it up. I sent you a private message. We can handle this between ourselves and keep it off a football bored.

Obtuse if you didn’t see both as overtly political. They were. And we will probably see a lot of reactions to what will happen on Sunday from all sides of the political spectrum.

Purely made a statement of what I'm not looking forward to.  No mention of anything else.  There's no denying all of the underlying issues going on right now but it's been nothing but Covid for 6 months or riots/protests for 4 months followed by every celebrity and professional athlete telling us how they feel on both and what the rest of us normal Americans need to do to fix the issues.

But if you want to bring kneeling vs standing in to it I think the NFL has gone above and beyond to meet players SJ demands.  For goodness sakes the field is going to say "End Racism", helmets are going to have the names of black victims,  coaches are going to be wearing messages, they are going to be airing stories of black people throughout the games,  along with countless other things not to mention the monetary donations made.

That is quite the list of things being done, yet players are going to kneel, even being encouraged by Goodell to do so.

I'm basing my thoughts on Ostman vs Avery only on reporting.  There were daily reports of Ostman making play after play to go along with numerous mentions of Avery not doing a thing and then being injured.

It's tough to say this year because we didn't see any preseason.  But if we are to take the words we read at face value, Ostman clearly had the superior camp and deserved the spot.
