What time is the "players only meeting" today?  Cause you know it's coming.

They should call a players only meeting except Peters.  If Howie or Doug can't get the message across to him, the players can.  He gives up on them all the time.

For anyone who wants someone replaced... who are you going to replace them with? Doug, Wentz, Howie, Schwartz, etc.

I wouldn’t move on from Doug or Wentz anytime soon so that leaves Schwartz and Howie.

Schwartz can be the sacrificial lamb on the coaching staff.

Howie appears to have failed miserably the past two seasons.

I asked who you replace them with. Not just who you want fired

Above my pay grade.

It really is amazing to me that for the third year in a row any concern big or small turned into a massive issue with this team. We haven’t been able to get an injury break or get significant development from any player at a position of weakness — unless you want to count Sweat.

None if the younger corners are any good. None of the younger DEs took a leap forward (save for Sweat). None of the LBs are any good as expected. Mills isn’t young but is new to safety. He’s just a guy. The OL actually hasn’t been that bad considering the injuries. Pryor and Herbig are decent depth players. Peters is washed though.

I would possibly add Driscoll to that list.

Cam and Jake.

As sad as it is they have probably been the most consistent and improved who were added in the Doug era.

He said about trading Ertz and Cox.  Which would be very wise.  Not Wentz or firing DP.

Read his 2nd post the one this post responded to.

I don't think this was talked about yet.  That decision to throw the ball on I think it was 3rd and 7 at the end of the game when we were already in fg range was mind blowing.  The only thing you can't do in that situation is take a sack or throw an interception.  That ball was nearly picked off.  Was that Carson who decided to throw or was that Doug's call?

Replace him with @4for4EaglesNest  He will get the idiots who give up 5 plays in a row and then make 1 play, then dance, a kick in the arse.

I had a pretty good concussion a few years back. Fell 12 ft landed on my head and neck. I had to take a week off of work but after that I was cleared to work. I would honestly say it changed me long term. I can do my job but my memory is shot and I'm a lot more "emotional" than I used to be, I'm also not as "quick" as I used to be. The first several years afterwards I got really, really, angry at the drop of a hat.

I guess it's possible that it changed things about him that aren't "diagnosable" ?

That explains it....

Peters would, but you would need to pay him more.  A stipen or a fee.

And a dozen donuts.

Please don't start that BS.  I hate that argument.  I really do.  Does that mean us fans aren't qualified to question anything?  We certainly should be able to recognize changes need to happen right?  I heard that about AR last few seasons.  It's Lurie's job to run the organization and find a replacement for Howie.  It's the GM's job to find a new HC.  It's the HC job to fill out his staff and have the team ready to play.  Sitting on the "who do you suggest would be better" argument is weak and tired.  Do you think posters are going to know all of the future HC candidates?  If you asked that question about Ray Rhodes in 1998 and someone said Andy Reid, you would have made fun of them after you yelled "WHO?".  Now, I am not keen on the idea of moving away from Wentz.  But if he is refusing to listen to coaching, I would bench him.  I would fire Howie....get a real GM...a real football man.  Force DP to get a real OC and give up the play calling and find a new DC.  And give that regime 2021 and 2022.  After that......the rest of them go.

I think you misunderstood my question. I just wanted to know thoughts on who to replace them. I haven't watched other teams a lot in the past years

I'd like to pick off position coaches from Chiefs and Ravens. Ravens were going to fire their HC and rebuild but then they came back and set the league on fire. Hawks QB coach looks like he's done wonders for Wilson and his career

Doug - keep

Wentz - Lawrence or Fields

Howie - anyone of the Ravens or Saints draft scout team

Schwartz - anyone who wouldn’t start Gerry

cause it can’t get worse

I don't think Lurie sacks Howie.  Yet.  Perhaps if this downward spiral continues with bad drafting and bad contracts to older players then yes.  I could see Lurie telling Howie he's back to being just a numbers guy who works the contracts and is bringing in an actual GM to oversee personnel, scouting, drafting and player development.  No idea who that potential GM could be.  Maybe an assistant GM or head scout from a team that has consistently drafted well the past 4-6 years?

I think it's time to move on from Gym Shortz.  His D scheme is predictable and his loyalty to certain players who just aren't good is baffling.  We did see him use some blitzes yesterday, but too often he doesn't make those necessary in game changes he needs to make and it's just wash, rinse, repeat over and over.  I'm tired of seeing 'get pressure with the front 4 and play the CBs 8-10 yards off the WRs'.  Time to bring in a new DC who is more creative and less stubborn.

Lurie has to let Doug know that he has to scrap this OC by committee and go back to what worked when we brought home a Lombardi:  a competent OC.  They need to hire whoever is the closest thing to Reich.  Someone to design a creative attacking O so if Doug insists on calling the plays then he has a much better playbook to choose plays from than this bland dredge we've been watching for going on 3 seasons now.

If Doug stays then I'd like his play calling removed. Don't know how you'd remove Wentz contract

I forgot about Saints. Looks like they've done well but also seems like they rely too much on Thomas. They definitely miss him

For those of you worrying about us not making big changes, getting blown out in prime time games is often a way to do it.

- @ SF (SNF)
- NYG (TNF)
- DAL (SNF)
- SEA (MNF)

The blowout probability for Seattle is high. Too many high-profile loses leads to change.

Doug gives Wentz 1-2 plays to choose from IIRC. It's possible that Wentz didn't like option 1 and went with option 2. It's also possible that both plays sucked 🤷‍♂️

LOL I think Giants will try to give us the win but we'll keep saying no you take it

The other 3 I don't see us winning at all

You gotta run the ball there 100% of the time.  Now factor in your QB being erratic and their run defense being putrid (and Sanders being a reliable back).  This is inexcusable.
