We have a long wait in round 2. If nothing is left worthy of the pick then trading back or trading for an existing player are the only right moves. I'm down to watching 4 positions for the 2nd round (OL, Edge, S, & TE in that order of preference). The Eagles have two 3rd rounders so moving up in the 2nd or moving one of those back or into next year would be a Howie thing to do. I'll be curious if Howie actually stands pat in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

The more I hear about Lemon the more I like. No, he does not fit the prototype X; he is not a direct AJ Brown replacement. Yes, Lemon's size and ability projects as a slot WR and Hurts doesn't throw to the slot. But I think Lemon has the talent to do so much more. He really projects a lot like Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jaxon Smith-Njigba: undersize guys, more quick than fast, that are ball hungry and really good at going after catches.

Our WR room is full as it is, even without AJ.

So many holes.. With No DE, No Safety, and Major Offensive Line Issues I would not be drafting a WR who has a slight history of being immature. Lemon is not a Diva, but there are many stories of him from interviews.

The most important question is Can Hurts and Lemon connect??? Hurts doesn't like to throw over the middle. Lemon will play in the slot. Are Eagles reinventing Hurts Playing style? Are Eagles drafting a WR for a future QB who is not currently on the roster? I am very curious how this connection will work in practice. If it doesn't work.....This will be just another excuse to get rid of Hurts Next year, as in see...He could not utilize a Lemon. LOL.

We now have 467 WRs on the roster.

And Smitty is the only good one.

The guy had 4 total drops in his college career and won the award for best WR in college. How is that horrible? I'm not bashing you I'm curious. I think a lot of people here are not loving it because he's not an AJ clone but that's not why he was drafted. He's a weapon at WR who will be used differently who got something like 50 first downs last year. Putting him on a team that struggled to move the chains is a smart move. It's been big play or nothing and now they have a guy who doesn't drop the ball, finds open space, and converts while still having Smith to stretch the field. Maybe he doesn't pan out, but I like it.

I think having Smitty and Lemon on the field is going to create a lot of matchup problems for defenses to cover. Then they have Wicks, Watkins, Hollywood Brown, Elijah Moore, Darius Cooper...

Throw in Hollywood Brown to stretch the field and this creates a nightmare.

I've been too busy so I didn't do any research prior to the draft but love this pick. Listened to his interview and loved his mentality. You see the fire and the swagger.

My only concern is building familiarity with Hurts but game recognizes game.

It is not whether Lemon pans out. It is whether Hurts skills and Lemon skills are a compatible match and one of them adjusts. Hurts is exceptionally interception prone and does not like to throw over the middle. Lemon is a wonderful slot receiver who is great in the middle of the field. Who will adjust? Will Lemon move outside? Will Hurts start throwing over the middle? Unless there is an adjustment, it may be fitting square peg in the round hole. Considering the value we gave up to get Lemon, above questions are worthy of being asked and answered.

Sorry, my reply got lost, on my phone. What does it mean when someone is described as quick rather than fast? I've seen it before but as a Limey it confuses me
