Eagles draft Makai Lemon (WR - USC) in the 1st round (pick #20) of the 2026 NFL Draft

So far not very promising. The eagle top picks have shown absolutely nothing

Yeah, I was never one bought that this guy, nor Smith, was gonna fill the void left by Brown's departure. He could be a nice piece, but they are different skillsets. They need a big-bodied receiver with respectable speed.

I think people are in for a rude awakening about AJ's departure....but only time will tell....

Certainly pre-2025 AJ, but last year the combination of him and KP was a nightmare and hopefully the offense as a whole improves with better play design and calls and not feeling under pressure to force it to one player.

I hear ya.....we can only wait and see....I am ready for the season to begin....

Obviously, we saw nothing from him. So, I expect NOTHING from him for at least the first 10 games of the season.

Gradually add him into the Offensive packages.

Just spitballing here, for fun, because I have no clue what this guy can possibly produce….24 catches, 200 yards, 2 TDs.

🦮🏄

I think Lemon ran a 4.57 40 yard dash.

Not sure what Howie was thinking. Looks like a blown pick.

That is not outside receiver speed. Maybe slot.

I also am disappointed his preseason stats are not HoF worthy

Why is slot a blown pick? If he becomes 4.55 Puka is that a blown pick? If he becomes 4.51 Amon Ra is that a blown pick? 4.77 Jarvis Landry is a blown pick?

And why is a 4.57 not outside speed?

Deandre Hopkins ran a 4.57

Anquan Boldin ran a 4.71

Keenan Allen ran a 4.71

Dude hasn’t even played a game yet and you’re already labeling him a bust. Looney Tunes takes

Yeah he's a slot receiver.

That's all of his takes.

This is funny. How did Lemon do in his first game?

Honestly? Not good. They seemed to use him in motion a lot and gave him 2-3 screens. It feels like they are trying to scheme him open and if that’s what he needs then he’s going to be a bust. Early days of course but honestly it isn’t a great start overall.

Honestly, I have more fun picking on the Hurts Huggers that the newly minted Lemon Lovers.

How is it the Commanders could dink and dunk down the field, but we can't run a simple inside slant underneath to connect with Lemon?

I blame Hurts. He is too short, He can't find the open receivers over the middle.

How can Lemon play like Julian Edleman if Hurts can't play like Tom Brady?

A. No matter what Lemon did, it wouldn't negate that all your takes are insane.

B. He barely had any practice because of injury, this was like a preseason game for him. He did what the coach asked of him: they forced throws behind the LOS and expected the OL to block & they struggled.

It's always too early to call a rookie a bust in week 1. We have no idea how he'll develop.

Lemon was wide open on the first Dallas td I feel that’s part of the reason the safety wasn’t in position to make the play on the ball. Plus lemon made the block on hurts 3/18 run to get our scoring drive out of trouble.

The little bubble screens didn’t stand much of a chance but I think that’s move inductive of the piss poor blocking by the wr’s and line then what lemon did or didn’t do.

He didn't do anything wrong and caught the ball. His blocking was atrocious. I hate swing, screen plays, because they cannot block them.

Between regular and preseason he’s approaching -10 yards.

Super impressed by Lemon today. Another great pick by Howie

He won.

Already thinking he may never even turn out to be Agholor is sobering

It’s not that I’m trying to dump on Lemon. He’s clearly a talented player to have been drafted in the first round and was highly rated by the draft analysts. I just don’t think it’s a great sign that the team are trying to force him the ball and create ways to get him involved. It’s good to get the rookie involved but can’t he line up in the slot and make a play on a slant? If he can’t then that’s not a great sign.

I’ll be honest… I watch a lot of NFL games. I watch most teams every week come up with easy chunk yard plays. 6 yards here, 8 yards there, 12 yards on a play, 7 on the next. Guys wide open with nobody around them. And I never see that with us. It’s always such hard work.

THANK YOU!! SAME!! I watch alot of football and every other team can dink and dunk their way down the field yet we struggle to do it....if THAT isn't an indication of piss poor coaching, blocking and personnel then I don't know what is......

That's EXACTLY my problem. He had basically zero reps in training camp so now he's so far behind he's lining up with the Cowboys offense at completely different stadium. Poor guy looks lost out there sad

3 receptions for minus 5 yards
