The issue I have is that... Since tearing his ACL Wentz and Doug are .500! That's a concern. But who gets the longer rope? Doug who's won a SB without Wentz? Or Carson who's got the mega contract and who the organisation traded up for? I'd suggest it's Carson.

Ive been saying for the longest time now that Wentz shouldve been traded and Foles shouldve stayed.I got major heat for it..looks like I was right.

I just don't see them going another route. He's on a huge contract so he's going to be the #1.

Carson’s problems look to be in his had and mechanical. He misses easy passes and stares receivers down. He makes costly turnovers. At least he didn’t fumble so that’s a plus.

His game streak with a TD pass ended tonight though didn't it.

I'd still say no. Foles has his own issues that can't be ignored just because he played great for this team's two most important games. He still has yet to play a full season himself, and couldn't beat out Trubiski. If the answer isn't Wentz, then it's someone else entirely.

I remember you saying it but at that time (I believe it was around two years ago) I wasn't quite ready to throw the towel in just yet.....I just didnt say anything because I wanted to see it play out...but for the past two years I have wanted him gone

Eh, I’m not sure I’d go that far. Look I love Foles for what he did, but he’s not the guy you make your franchise QB. He is even more hot and cold than Wentz, lucky for us he just happened to be red hot in the playoffs that year. But there is a reason he lost his starting jobs to: Case Keenum, Gardner Minchew, and failed to beat out Trubisky.

I remember after that Super Bowl he looked like the next one is mine! Since then the team hasn’t really played for him at all. I have a hard time believing he has the full support of his teammates, but it’s not like he’s doing much to earn that support right now.

Yep spot on. Maybe Wentz isn't the answer but Foles definitely wasn't the answer.

Well maybe by the end of the year he throws for over 5000 yards with no receivers over 1000 receiving yards so his fanboys can gush over him even though the leads the Eagles to a 5-11 record.

I'm not sure he'll throw for a 1000 yards at this rate. He'll be pulled for Hurts according to the fans.

And I think thats one of the biggest things right now that they are not outright saying. For some reason, they just dont vibe with wentz nor do they trust him. Your teammates have to want to play with you and support you. The energy was extremely high with the team with Foles...wentz, not so much. Body language is everything. What Alshon said to the media now looks to be true. We all saw Foles on the sidelines cheering the guys and motivating them....I have yet to see wentz do any of that....

At least with Foles you have two things that could help you. You could actually pay for more talent as a whole, cause he’s not making the money Carson is, and you could draft a quarterback. Well they drafted one even with Wentz so I guess the latter doesn’t matter.

Everything was fine today on offense other than Wentz. Excuses and questions need to stop. Two straight games now momentum was turned on a Wentz INT. Bad decision making, erratic accuracy on his passes, etc.

No chance this team benches Carson. If Foles were still here maybe, but I can’t see it happening.

Yeah for some reason hes only good here. But thats spilled milk Im not gonna beat a dead horse. Wentz just isnt good enough. Even when he webt on that run in 2017 it was against a last place schedule. Although he did play great.I mean hes a div III college qb. Who did he beat? The Mudlick Slaphounds? The South Northern Western Tennessee Moonshiners? Smh

I swear they think its preseason the way DP calls the game. But I can't knock DP when his QB is TRASH!!!

It’s not like his teammates can say much either, because they’re not playing well either. Still you can’t blame the offensive line, receivers, or backs for this game. The quarterback and the defense were atrocious.

That third down overthrow was horrendous. He got bailed out by that special teams turnover.

I live in an area with very few Eagles fans and most of my friends were flabbergasted we kept Wentz. Couldve kept Foles for cheap and gottena  2nd or 3rd for Wentz plus kept cap for a free agency.

After watching Goff on rollouts and bootlegs today, it was glaringly obvious how stagnant pedersen has become.....wentz is more athletic than Goff and performs well on the run.....

Pedersen is not using Wentz the way that utilizes his skill and Wentz is letting too much get into his head. Some of his throws today were just terrible.  He's not making good reads or going thru his progressions......

How to fix it?  Go sign Devonte Freeman and let him and Sanders pound the ball......Get Wentz out of the pocket more BY DESIGN and start using some misdirection plays.  Eagles have become brutally predictable again......

 

Hey lighten up, everybody. Wentz came really close today.

If only the Rams had fumbled a few more times on their own 11 yard line, he would have aced it.

Foles played great for eagle's more than once. Just never got the backing from the eagle's. Forced to share with Vick then straight to Wentz. Yet Foles is the one that helped get a super bowl.

I wanted them to keep Foles too. The Eagles just werent ready to pull the plug on Wentz because they drafted him to be the franchise qb. Had Wentz been on another team already come here via FA or Trade im 100% certain he wouldve been gone. The stubborn pride of the Eagles brass has set them back for the foreseeable future.
