Mestemaker probably going # 2. If the team that slots there needs a qb, they’ll just take him. If they think they have one, you can probably pull it off for all our 2027 and 2028 firsts. Is that worth it? Then you’ve got a nice young qb prospect surrounded by horrendous talent on offense.

Better pipe dream scenario: Mestemaker goes #1. Package those firsts for Jeremiah Smith at #2. Draft Sorsby in round 2.

That’s a risky bet. You sure you want to gamble on Sorsby?

Fun little trip down memory lane.

Unusual for the Eagles to rule out players so far in advance. They normally delay to the point of insanity. It’s almost like they don’t care.

On the other hand, maybe it is because they are really injured.

Giving up picks to draft a WR when the oline is in the shape it is in? Sounds like you have 2007-2015 Detroit Lions envy.

I would easily give the all 3 firsts in 27 and 28 plus Jalen to any team to get Mestemaker. Been watching him a lot and has pretty much all the tools physically and mentally. Calm, precision, reads the field well, throws a nice deep, mid and short range. Not afraid of the middle of the field and has great pocket presence. Oh he can run as well. Sign me up. Sorsby? Maybe later but not even in the ball park. Next Qb Id still like to see is Manning but my guess is he doesn't come out till the 28 draft. Manning has really good traits but lacks any offensive weapons on that Texas team and the scheme is horrendous. Would be smart for him to transfer next year to a better schemed team with recs that can get some separation.

Kelce might be the worst booth analyst for football games that I've ever heard for a NFL game. I always thought he would be good at it but he is so brutal. All of these international games he does.

The guy might be the single best prospect in the draft in decades. The one position the Eagles don't need along the OL is LT...and they are going to be picking in LT range.

Dude is a 6' future bust who would be 29 signing his first extension. 3 INTs today vs Texas.

maybe. But even with his 3 turnovers he much better as a passer than Hurts ever was, ever has been and ever will be.

I would love to have Chambliss but not in the first round. If we happen to have a top 5 pick, we need to figure out how to get Jeremiah Smith

Wouldn't surprise me if nothing was actually done wrong but the nflpa wants to punish the team for optics

For the NFLPA it’s not an issue with the Eagles. They have to represent all players and they’ve likely been inundated with calls from concerned players asking what their recourse is if the same thing happens to them.

This was a player who went from having a calf injury from being cleated to having numerous blood clots in his lungs — ostensibly due to the long-distance flights the NFL is currently mandating the players travel.

Only way id consider Chambliss is in Day 3 as a backup option. So we would still need another qb option.

Sad state of affairs when I'm happy there is no Eagles football today.

So give up multiple 1sts for a guy and still suck on offense because we can't block anyone? Have we learned nothing over this past decade? Offensive line talent is the single most important element of offensive success. But sure, make Detroit Lion-esque drafting decisions that produced 2 winning seasons during the Johnson era. Stafford was a Lion from. 2009-2020. He had 8 seasons with a losing record and 0-3 in playoffs. 6 season with Johnson amd Stafford produce two winning seasons and no playoff wins.

While JS may he the best talent in years, he can't overcome offensive lines in the bottom 10% of the league.

No Mensah? Dude is a shoo in for Heisman if he keeps his current pace.

Jeremiah Smith is going to be great, but for this team would be an absolute gross misuse of resources especially after they just wasted a 1st on a WR this past draft (based solely on position, not lemons production thus far)

I'd call for Howie to get put under the basement if he drafted a WR or RB in the first round for 2027

Then they should have their choice of Oline players. I'm afraid to draft a QB with our current OL would be risking a David Carr or Tim Couch redux; bruised and battered by the end of his rookie year. Well, maybe not that bad but bad enough.

If they are so bad to be in a position to land Jeremiah Smith and not do so that would be a big mistake.

Maybe they should complain about flights from PHL to the west coast too. PHL - SEA nonstop is 6:38. PHL - LHR (London Heathrow) is 7:15 so not that much longer.

Gotta love people complaining about not drafting BPA while making pitches to draft for need

Same but not for sad reasons. Kiddo #2 was born!

And, as much as I hate to say it, Mailata is in the backside of his career. I expect his last season with us will be 2028. Could even see him traded to a better team in need of a LT this off-season.

Kelce is kinda good, but also, he’s kind of an idiot.
