I don’t think we could get a 3rd for Ojomo, he’s a bum too honestly. Idk why people think teams would trade such a high pick for him

Tbh I think it’s more about the supply and demand at the position right now. How many guys are out there at defensive tackle that can help a team? Especially a team that just lost arguably a starting defensive tackle. I think Ojomo is a solid starter. He’s not what Milton Williams was when he left. However, the trade market doesn’t have guys who are capable of just being average starters out there. Which kind of boost his value. Add on there’s desperation from some of these teams that know they need an upgrade or they need someone like that due to injury and they have no other means of acquiring it middle of the season.

Steichen is a much better choice to be the HC than those wunderkind OCs. He knows the organization, knows the history, knows Jalen (if we keep him long term - also I completely forgot he had a no trade trade clause…). He’s been a great playcaller and has his own convictions.

1 thing I know for sure- we need to focus on being the Eagles and not chasing diluted trends.

Javon Kinlaw out for the year. Get on the phone Howie!

Howie is a magician.

He made the 2024 Super Bowl talent magically appear and disappear again.

I agree, people will vastly overrate the important of their record over the past year, which is virtually meaningless in my view.

Not surprised on woolen being like a 5th or 6th. If he played better, I think you could make the case he’d get you a day 2 pick. But he is frankly dropped off in play the last couple weeks. Which his career has been very up-and-down so that’s not really that surprising. But if you had him playing on the upward scale over the last four or five weeks, I think you would’ve had more value to him at the deadline.

I would not trade him for a 6th. Just understand if he gets traded you are looking at the likes of MacMcwilliams, Jonathan Jones, Ringo and whatever practice squad guy they can sign to be a starting CB. Yikes.

We're seeing the downside of the young OCs here with Mannion, aside from possibly being a Temu replica of the real article, they also might not have the connections to build a competent staff.

Tbh I really don’t think howie would do it unless he got a fourth round pick. I think he would just bet that maybe woolen plays better the rest of the year then somebody signed him in for agency and he gets a better comp pick then a fifth or a sixth round pick this year.

I understand who’s behind him. But then again they’re not going anywhere anyways. So you’re probably better off just letting those young kids play and seeing if they make actual improvements or they just suck so you can just completely move on from them as well.

Vikings happily let us have Greenard and their wretched OLine Coach.

Paybacks for the butt whooping we gave them in the NFCCG. And then we win our FIRST ever Super Bowl……in their stadium.

NFL Karma. 🤣🦅🤔

Immediate:

  • Fire Kuper, hire Paganetti. See if that helps the O line improve. If he does a good enough job he may be retained (either by Nick or a new HC if they go that route). They may wait until the bye to give TJ time to prepare.

  • Sell the players that will leave in free agency anyway, whoever has value and can get you picks.

  • Rest Barkley, and do not bring back Smitty or anyone else back unless truly ready. No sense risking long-term injury.

  • Forget playing conservative or playing not to lose. Open up the playbook, let loose. Try things. Get creative.

  • Vic needs to blitz a lot more. Just go for it, shake things up.

  • Get young players and backups playing time this season so next year they have backups and potential new starters with lots of real game experience.

    • Keep Bell at RT all year, for better or worse. Have to know what he is fully and know for sure what they want to do there.

    • Forget slow development, throw Stowers out there and target him. Use this lame duck year to find out what you have.

    • Get Micah Morris in there at Guard. Whether you bench Dickerson or Steen or trade one of them, whatever. I want to know what Morris can do.

    • Make Greenard earn his paycheck

    • Reduce Jalen Carter's snaps dramatically. Make Davis and Robinson take a lot more snaps. Find out if Robinson can play a bigger role at all next year.

Absolutely the Birds need to do what you suggest with the young guys. Trade the one year guys for 2027 picks. (Woolen, Fred Johnson, maybe Ojomo and Steen if extensions not in play etc.) Play Lemon and Cooper as the WRs. Get Big Mo in there. Curious about the OL on the PS. If they can move Fred for one of the OTs. Want to see more of Reiger at OLB. Ringo or McWilliams in place of Woolen. Here’s another, play Payton as soon as he appears ready. Trade McKee for value. Elevate Zion Wilson. We need to see who plays backup DT next year with Ojomo and Young likely gone. Heck, I would like to see if Young has any trade value. I like that Howie is churning the PS. I hope he also mines other teams PS as the season progresses if warranted.

I’ll take that trade off any day!

Season's over. Woolen is leaving in free agency anyway. Get picks. Get higher draft position. Get backups experience so the depth next year has starting experience at least.

Ok so…

2017 - win Super Bowl

2018 - barely make playoffs

2019 - 7-9 but make playoffs because nfc east is garbage and Wentz somehow played great even with Greg Ward as WR 1

2020 - total dog $h!t

2021 - resurgence. Made playoffs

2022 - made Super Bowl

2023 - made playoffs but crashed so hard at the end of the season that they looked like the worst team in the league by season’s end.

2024 - won Super Bowl

2025 - made playoffs but definitely regressed on offense.

2026 - not over yet but this team is horrible and probably won’t win another game. At best 4-13

Find another franchise with a weirder 10 year run.

I don't understand the thinking. They may love him but he is gone in a few months anyway. Get something in this coming draft for him.

No thanks on Kingsbury. I don’t think he’s going to be a good head coach. Part of me wonders of Declan Doyle is losing some of his luster based off the Raven’s second half struggles and the ravens are gonna look real bad now that Lamar and Huntley are both out.

I also noticed he had all offensive guys. Which I tend to agree with him that I think it would be an offensive minded coach. I know people like Brian Flores, I just don’t see Jeffrey Lurie knowing that the passing game has been basically broken for the better part of 2+ years not trying to fix that over the defense. I think lurie and howie would really just bring back Fangio or hire someone like Schwartz to run the defense

I would think Udinski is the top choice. I wonder if they could give an interview to Jim Schwartz. Pete Carmichael is another possible candidate.

It's possible the Eagles think he can be re-signed in a range that makes sense.

Sounds like Vic is getting frustrated with Greenard. Didn't start last week and he really harped on him not practicing.

Curious if Vic feels he's just a bad fit
