Who knows?Howie and Lurie took control of the coaching staff in the offseason. It was them who hired Mannion, not Sirianni. Either Stoutland resented Sirianni so much...and Howie/Lurie had to choose Sirianni simply because you can't really fire a HC after a first round exit 1 year removed from a SB title....or Sirianni wasn't the only reason for Stoutland's departure. And, to be clear, Sirianni wouldn't be the one that forced out Stoutland. He may have handcuffed his responsibilities in 2025 which led to Stoutland leaving out of frustration. But Sirianni isn't in charge. And the offense sucked in 2025. If Stoutland left because he was so butt hurt that Sirianni was trying to change things up for a failing offense and he refused to work under the same roof as a neutered Sirianni with a new OC, then he's not blameless either. If Stoutland left because his scheme doesn't mesh with Mannion's, then that's also not because of Sirianni.

So, both could be true. They wanted a different run scheme, but wanted Stoutland coaching it.Agree, but how much did it change from the SB year to last? What changed so much in that short of a time IF the players wanted a different scheme? Like you said I doubt they'd want a different coach. I also agree with EAGLES that it was from Nick's camp not long after he was asked about that question on WIP.

35 minutes ago35 min They need to hire a HC with an offensive philosophy who has control to hire his coordinators and position coaches so the scheme makes sense all the way through. When guys get hired for promotions elsewhere, the philosophy and scheme stays the same and you hire people to execute that offense. We've had coaches pushed onto the HC by the front office and different coaches trying to piece things together.
