The only upside of doing it early is that Eagles get a jump on the hiring process.

And hire who? If they cant get the OC call right, whose to day they hire the right HC?

Is Lurie? I think Lurie keeps Sirianni around all season. The injuries piling up provide him with some cover. But, there's going to be some major changes next year. Howie will be busy undoing some of the big money contracts he's done recently. He's already started with the Jurgens trade.

You almost have to, there’s issues with the staff from top to bottom. Vic and maybe a couple other coaches are ‘safe’…Vic might just retire mid season if Nick gets the axe.

Does it though? It’s not like we’re gonna be interviewing people before the end of the regular season anyway.

The scale of injuries is almost a parody now. Gonna be a tough season in many areas but not sure what any of the coaching staff can do when the backup PS RB gets injured in game.

McKee was kind of ok, but that OL is MIA in its current form. Sheesh

Tanner had some moments where he looked good. Like that one right before the bad snap killed it

No, but we can start the research process, background work, gather information etc. Can't do that with Siri at the helm as it will get leaked.

I'm fine with letting this coaching staff go, but that also signals the end of hurts.

I mean it really it doesn't matter either way. Maybe you keep him in there so you can keep losing. He's a good cheerleader. You want to know what a good coach looks like. Andy Reid. When you see that every week in KC, I know what a good coach looks like. He's terrible. He's a cheerleader. Who knew how to call for a Tush Push with a legendary roster. When it came to oucoaching someone and winning a game due to his actually coaching. I can't remember many.

The Eagles are consistently making plays and mistakes that a bad team makes...

You can start all of that with him coaching out the string…

This is why us pissing away two very winnable games hurts - we’d be looking at 4-2 and still feeling pretty good about things when we get healthy. But as it stands now I don’t see an avenue for turning this season around. Too many roster holes and bad coaches

It's not the record that hurts. It's the play of the team. The two wins we had were not all that inspiring either. Very 2023/2025 feeling. This is a mess on many fronts.

What did you learn today, Lambo? Anything about hot routes?

Honestly, there were some encouraging things I saw today. I told you guys I expected it to be disaster, and honestly, I expected it to be worse. Eagles moved the ball at times today, there was something they could continue on next week.

But what they really need to stop doing with things as they are is lining up under center so much. Just stop. You can't block to the T of the drop and McKee doesn't have wheels. When they just hung in the gun the whole time it worked out a lot better.

I wonder if after this game people now understand why it "Looks similar to Sirianni" (that means they hang in the gun a lot). Yeah, because when they go under center the entire mansion is sent to run them down.

Not sure what your point is. Plenty of people have different opinions. But throwing out Omar Fing Cooper as a dunk on the Lemon pick is pretty lame

Well cooper has more TD and yards than lemon playing in just 1.5 games than lemon in 6 with just as crappy of an offense and horrible coaches as well. Plus lemon has had games without smith actually playing some weeks

I’m sorry you don’t like hearing that. But coaches matter in this as not really maximizing him. But also guys when given chances go out and make plays and step up. Lemon has bad coaching but also very pedestrian so far this year. And this isn’t somebody who just absolutely hates lemon. This is just the reality is you should expect more from him based off them moving up to get him.

One very wounded team against a really bad team...division game, PHI at home, prime time, nah DAL blows it just like they did against the Bucs last week. Someone mentioned last week the NFCE champion having a losing record, it looks like that is the reality this year.

Hey! Shut your damn mouth! We’re gonna lose so bad just you wait! We’ll show you and you’ll see!

There is very much something to work with- but I'm not sure the talent and scheme are going to produce a consistent result. The oppo D just doesn't respect the blitz pick up

Hate to say it, but they can't leave Mannion in place as is.

I know siris record is good but let's be honest the offense has been trash since he's been the coach.

The 2nd half struggles happened last year as well so this isn't the first season of it.

He's supposed to be an offensive coach. Nope fail

He keeps this team ready and fighting hard. Nope

Detailed oriented team. Nope

Sorry he has lost this team

yeah. I'm not super impressed with sirianni. he's had a ton of talent, almost to good to fail

No, it gets leaked and that's worse than firing him.

If you want to hire Doyle, you start talking to people about him, past coaches, players, mentors etc.

Apparently, winning football games isn't who we are.

He’s lost his repeatable accuracy, can’t lose a play here or there when working with such a slim margin… it can get better. They might want ****can the Mannion stuff, that’s just throwing away plays and killing drives. Both McKee and Hurts have looked much better in shotgun and in spread formations.

I am sorry, but this team is bad even when not wounded

Yeah, I don’t see the Eagles firing him early remotely. The only way that happens if he starts pulling Chip Kelly stuff off the field. I said the same thing earlier, the only person I can imagine they want to be the interim would be to see what Mannion is as an interim head coach. To get more info on him. But really he’s not HC material and definitely not at this stage. So it doesn’t do you any good to do it during season especially cause he won at the highest level for you.

Yeah, but he's gone one way or the other. Prolly keep him and tank it. He's out by end òf season at latest. We are in SELL mode after today. Clear as day. Don't care what the rest of the division is doing. Leaky faucets everywhere that will not be fixed this year. It's over!!!!

They aren't firing Sirianni, they'll ride him to a top 5 pick.

7 minutes ago, ManuManu said:

Sirianni won a Super Bowl. There’s no reason to fire him early. We don’t have a natural replacement on the staff anyway.

We continue the death march through week 18.

The good news is we won't get the BS "we didnt have time to do a full coaching search".

4 minutes ago, ManuManu said:

They won’t fire Nick mid season.

6 minutes ago, MF POON said:

Eagles fans are delusional thinking firing Nick just solves everything 😅. No HC in the league is going to win with this many injuries. And also, who the heck are you hiring to come in and magically take this team back tk the Super Bowl??

Have you seen San Francisco?

Just as many injuries.

Tampa has a back up QB that was a udfa and scored 19 today and are still playing in overtime vs Pittsburgh

Schematically they are broken. Which is odd to say, because honestly there is no scheme…no plan, nothing. Basically go out there and block somebody if you can is the coaching it seems.

Yes, Andy Reid is a 1st ballot Hall of Famer coach. Duh. Everyone knows this. But your chance of finding another Andy Reid in any given coaching season is practically zero. Good luck.

And by the way since some people don't seem to get this either, McVay and Shanahan came from Mike Shanahan's Washington staff very young and were exposed to a tremendous amount of football for their age. Andy at this point in the NFL is one of one.

So you basically have a 0% chance of getting someone on the level of those three unless you basically win the lottery. I hope that's not the goal at least?
