1 hour ago1 hr McKee showed some good things today. The O line and having only 1 RB is hurtful to any offense.Coaching remains the primary issue. Despite what some extreme critics argue, Hurts does things well and can execute (yes he has flaws, so do most QBs these days). McKee showed some good plays today and didn't let the game situation rattle him, he kept fighting. The play calling isn't helping. Mannion was supposed to be an "evil genius" and we've seen many teams with backup QBs execute an offense.I don't know if it's Siri or Mannion or the scheme doesn't fit the personnel or what it is. But the offense is broken and it's not solely on the QB. Maybe McKee looks better in the coming weeks especially if they get any healthy RBs back, and the O line improves. But the play calling and scheme were supposed to fix the offensive issues and it hasn't.I've said Siri does some things well, you don't win as much as he has without doing things well. But he has no answers for the offense over multiple seasons. Except to not turn the ball over. The combination doesn't work. Maybe bring back Steichen if he gets fired I don't know.

But we have to know the correct order. 😅You'll hear no disagreement from me. I'm just saying overall that they really never put square peg in square hole, there.
1 hour ago1 hr Sirianni and no coach will ever get fired mid season. Unless your a Chip Kelly level a-hole

TD not that big of a deal if the writing is on the wall. You let him coach out the season as a sighing of respect despite the decision being made. This happens literally every year. That’s why it’s called Black Monday after the season ends. It’s not like teams happen to decide to fire their coach at that moment.
1 hour ago1 hr I don’t get the multiple TE fad tbh. That goes for us and the rest of the league other than the teams that started it

Ball was out thoughYeah, it wasn’t all bad - he can’t have any unforced errors though, as he needs to elevate the offense by being technically proficient. Maybe Mannion can scheme it up downfield, but I tired of seeing blitzing LBs meeting the QB at the top of the dropback.
1 hour ago1 hr The offense has been exposed and there have not been any counters … the way to beat Hurts is to rush 5-6 and play zone behind it…but today was very concerning…the LBs are just shooting gaps in play action situations because no one is fearing the run…and lining up 3 over our non athletic rookie RT and making him choose who to block…the RB has either been late to pick up or overrun…still leaving a free rusher…yikes what a mess

If you get a good one, he gets poached and you are searching for a new one. If you get a bad one... you fire him, and you are looking for a new one. That's unsustainable. The miracle is that we managed to get a Super Bowl victory out of it.Yep. The problems with hurts are still there. He has his flaws and he has his warts. He’s also likely gone at the moment at the end of 2027. However, Nick decided to become the Eagles head coach. Knowing that there was a potential that wentz wasn’t going to be here. I wish Vikas would talk on that cause he has some real good info that I’m not gonna share as it’s his to tell. But put in perspective strong chance wentz wasn’t going to be here and needed to craft an offense for hurts and get an OC that could if he couldn’t. That said it’s not just sirianni can’t fix ann offense he doesn’t know. The other issue is this team makes boneheaded mistakes and penalties. Their special teams coverage units has multiple boneheaded mistakes. They have poor clock management as well. The other issue is if you have to keep finding an OC, like you said it’s gonna get poached if they’re young and up-and-coming. Even if they’re older, they’re still gonna get poached. You saw this off-season with monken going to Cleveland and prior to that Bruce Arians. If somebody comes in here in terms of offense around, another team is gonna go after them because of how bad this offenses looked.

It's really just old school football. The advantage of shotgun was always not needing time to drop, you're already basically in position to pass the ball. You don't need as much time. When in the gun, McKee showed pretty OK stuff for his first performance. When he was under center, it was a dumpster fire because by the time he hit the T of his drop, blitzers were already on him. We don't currently have the OL for the under center based design Mannion wants to play. He'll have to stop being stubborn and adjust.

Unless your a Chip Kelly level a-holeI get the anger, but you aren't firing the HC especially when a lot of talent is on IR or out injured. The team started with 3 x PS RBs today and one then got injured early on.
1 hour ago1 hr 21 minutes ago, jojodancer said:Fire Sirianni. And Hurts is absolved today. He keeps you in this game today, at worst. So keep that McKee BS out of here. He's a backup. And Andy Dalton beat him for the job. That should have given it away to you. He's an old school QB that can't move a lick. You can blitz da F out of him. And that is a detriment in today's game. That has always been his wrap sheet. Okay, now we can move off from that crap. 4-13 team with McKee. 2-15 with Dalton. I'll stick by that.Looking at the Stats, Tanner played better today with 1 day of practice with the starters (I won't include a walk through) than Hurts did in his last 3 games. That's why we won't know anything without seeing 3-4 games

1 hour ago1 hr If you haven't concluded this football season is over.. today. You need to get you eyes checked or head examined. It's kaput.
1 hour ago1 hr We’ve run a broken offense to some degree for FOUR SEASONS. Our only saving grace were the run schemes from the OL coach we scapegoated this offseason (and the OL + Saquon). Thanks for what should’ve been 2 SBs, Nick. Now kindly GTFO

I honestly do not think you can get further from Phillip Rivers than Jalen Hurts, even in the winning championship parts. I know Andy Reid is 1 of 1 but most people get a QB for their scheme rather than uproot their scheme for the QB.I think it's pretty common that coach is saddled with a QB on a decent contract when they take a job in the NFL. It's part of the deal, they're freaking coaches. It's their job to get the most out of the players.

He’s more than serviceableIt's something you can build on, there's a clear gameplan if Mannion gets his head out of his ass. Just literally stop with the under center. The reason why they're blitzing is because they know if you take more than a 3 step drop, you won't have time to read the field before the blitz gets to the pass, and if you run, you'll run right into the blitz.I think the funniest thing overall is that we have a counter for this, it's called a toss, but for some reason those kind of got vaporized. Shame.
