I thought Jalen played really well minus the first INT. The second one was poorly thrown due to the hit. Considering we had little to no run game, the conditions, and Dallas missing most of the game, the last second heroics didn't bother me at all. I'm just glad we're talking about how we won instead of how we should've won.

Well they have moved on from successful coaches before so you never know. I am personally concerned that if this offense begins to really flow and Jalen’s numbers passing wise explode we could be looking at yet another new play caller. That’s my biggest gripe with Sirianni. The instability at play calling because he’s so bad at it.

I’ve got to hope that if the offense goes OFF then they’d look to promote Mannion? Not easy to do I know but they can’t surely let him leave and bring in another OC? Whilst Sirianni sits back and offers very little to the offense.

If the offense "explodes", the Eagles think long and hard about promoting Mannion to head

coach to put a stop to the OC carousel. Getting a new OC every year- the NFL needs to stop

that sheeeeit, but they won't. Teams can't get continuity, and so it goes.

I don’t know what they would do, but do you really believe they would fire their coach? I’m just not sure they would do that based on one successful season.

It’s a huge risk promoting a guy based on one season; however, they did hire Nick based on less so you never know. What happens if this team wins the Bowl? How do you fire a coach that’s been to three SBs and a two time champion?

They didn't do that with Steichen and Moore. Siri not going anywhere until he has a losing season.

I'm not saying I don't agree. But there is more to being a HC than just game day. Lots to do between Monday-Saturday before game day Sunday

Goedert started a little slow and Ertz did too so maybe there’s hope for the future. I think Lemon could be good, but they have to stop those stupid screens. Find better ways to get Hollywood Brown and Lemon the ball.

I mean I can see how people feel like Sirianni isn’t doing much, but you don’t win these game by an accident. He and this quarterback (especially together) win a lot of games. I for one am tired of year after year needing a new play caller and a change to the offense because either an OC is getting fired or hired to be an HC and that’s directly related to Sirianni and his inability to call plays. With that being the case this man can’t be fired based on one season by a coordinator.

3 hours ago, UK_EaglesFan89 said:

Yeah you absolutely could do. The difference is on the field I do see what Jalen adds to this team. And it’s harder for us to quantify what Sirianni does but I just don’t think he’s the reason we win so many games. If they moved on from him I’d be okay with it.

Swear to God some of you lot deserve another 56 year stretch without winning it all. Just refuse to accept what's in front of you, think there's some mystery behind it, Coach who hasn't lost his opening game for 6 straight years on his way to 5 straight post seasons, with 5 different OC's and 3 different DC's but he's in no way responsible for any of it except the crappy bits, everything else is the coordinators.

It baffles me at this point it really does, there are 20 plus teams that would offer him their HC job the second we canned him.

Not for nothing, but every coach Jeff Lurie hired was eventually hired by someone else. Only one of them worked out. I don’t think this FO believes there is any move they can’t make.

Are you serious? 😂🤣😂

So, it's apparently true but later reports are saying he’s definitely missing at least one game. So I guess we’ll see.

Had any of them been in the middle of setting all time NFL coaching records when we canned them?

You are full of it. 1 or 2 moron franchises would hire him.

He would go 7-10 then 5-12 and be fired.

He deserved to be fired for cause in 2023 and 2025.

What he did in 2025 by inflicting Patullo on the team and demanding that he stayed is borderline evil.

You can soap box all you want, you are still completely wrong.

He is like the kicker who is 1 for 30 in FGs but the team wins anyway.

All he does is rah rah and yell at fans and make bad big picture decisions.

Fangio and Moore won the SB from coaching and Howie put the awesome players there and Hurts was magnificent.

Moore has already revitalized a dead franchise in New Orleans with Tyler friggin Shough.

If the Eagles released Hurts, about 15-20 NFL teams would want him as their starter.

There are morons who think Doug called the Philly special and Siri called the dagger.

We have video of Foles calling for Philly Philly.

Hurts kept asking for the dagger all week leading up the the Super Bowl.

Siri had as much to do with winning LIX as Blankenship. They did some things right but 40 people did far more.

On the field your final statement is 100% correct, but Siriani isn’t an on the field type of coach. He is the coach who has set and continuously maintains the team culture that those X’s and O’s Coordinators thrive in and the players to take the field in.

As is currently being demonstrated in Detroit, a CEO-style head coach only succeeds at the highest level if he has good coordinators. Siriani attracted his first-year coordinators. They were very happy to ply their trade with him as their leader. He has continued to attract high level coordinators. If he went to another team, he would continue to do so. People want to win, and all Siriani does is win … more than 7 wins out of every 10 games played, which has only been equaled or bettered by four head coaches in the history of the NFL

You view the world through acidic glasses.

I'm not writing them off as busts yet. But right now just 2 bad picks when there were more of a immediate concerns on both sides of the trenches. There were also plenty of TEs in FA that would have been decent and fit what they were looking for in stowers as well.

i'm definitely on the "what does nick do again?" train but you can't argue with him winning. There is more to leading a team than just coaching. Coaching is part of it but the organization, structure, culture are big things also. He has shown that he will take the heat for his coordinators and i'm sure that will factor into other peoples decision on if they want to work for him. You brought up Patullo. I think their argument (which we know now was bad) was that it would keep the same concepts that just won them the superbowl (similar to Brian Johnson) also by the time they got around the OC searching, most of the better OC coordinators were taken. Could there have been another Manion in the mix? sure, but that was not how they were thinking at that point. hoepfully that won't be the case if manion gets upgraded to HC somewhere at some point. Either way, Nick does get a lot of heat but he has a crazy win percentage while majority of the coach in the leagues do not. That has to count for something. could he do a better job of hiring OCs..sure but overall he has put in a winning culture and does a lot of the behind the scenes things that we do not see.

His culture work in 2025 was bottom of the league. He allowed AJ and Patullo to derail the entire organization.

His culture work in 2023 was crap.

Odd how the culture got better when Saquon, Fangio, Q, Coop, and Moore joined and even then AJ was still a complete ass.

Hurts was 16-3 as a starter and SB MVP. Acidic was how you can describe the Hurts attacks all season long.

Most came from inside the building.

This is similar to the McNabb garbage where he was dragging the team down and people wanted to blame Reid.

They routinely crapped on the rest of the team crying about poor baby and his weapons.

The national media hates Hurts and licks Siri. They are almost always wrong and dead wrong in this case.

Weird how you think a team goes to the playoffs every year, goes to two super bowls winning one, all despite its head coach.

Neither the AJ decision nor the Patullo decision are culture. Those are tactical decisions rather than strategic decisions. Culture is strategy rather than tactics. Arguably culture is even the next level up above strategy … vision/mission. The two graphics below illustrate the hierarchy. In the first graphic AJ’s behavior is in the Personal Plans portion of the Hierarchy. For the most part Patullo is in the Implementation Plans level. Culture is a biproduct of answering the questions of the three top levels.

I think we can count out Stowers for this season, but Lemon is still going to get chances to prove himself. I wouldn’t mind seeing an Ertz reunion for a few weeks until Goedert is healthy again.

Well the most successful was AR who was near coaching records. One was a SB winning coach and the first ever for the Eagles. I have doubts the Eagles will get rid of Sirianni, but I also know that this team has had success with all of their coaches especially early in their careers. Every coach Lurie hired had winning records in their first two seasons. The Eagles FO have a lot of confidence in their ability to select coaches so they aren’t afraid to make a move. Look at some of the players, coaches, and FO staff they have let walk out the door. I don’t think Sirianni’s record scares them from moving on from him. Now do I think they would fire Nick right now especially if he leads them to another deep playoff run? No I don’t.

Again I find it ironic how people don’t realize how their words could be used interchangeably between this coach and this quarterback especially when you consider the head coach actually has a losing record with quarterbacks not named Jalen Hurts. Personally I think both of these guys need each other just like all of the other coach/quarterback duos.
