Not all gender affirming care has to involve such drastic measures in kids. I don’t think any drugs or surgery should be done on kids under 18. Other than that, I’m not going to treat them any differently than anyone else. I won’t normalize bigotry.

Seems like an incomplete study - it certainly can't be a complete study if it fails to address long term effects

And that's your problem in a nutshell.  You treat this as a bigotry issue when really isn't.  There are a lot of progressives who have no trouble being bigoted against somebody because their gay or transgender if that person is a conservative.  They only fall under the protection against bigotry if they identify with progressivism and wokism.

Nobody here is in favor of bullying or putting down a kid.  Kids are just that - kids.  What they identify with when they're 14, and not just sex, can be completely different than when they're 17.  Their hormones are flying all over the place, and their minds are going all over the place.  They need time to grow and evolve.  The right psychologists and counselors can be great for kids - or anybody.  But the wrong ones can really do a number on them and mess them up.
