They care but its not politically expedient to tell the general public they can't have as much free ish and actually need to be responsible adults. Shouldn't the Democrats do the right thing and change their ways, or are you just totally cool with obliterating any idea of a balanced budget for the rest of time? As least the GOP pretends to give a ish every once in a while. Edit: and if Manchin ran, hed be an independent and hell, he'd probably win if he could fundraise enough. He knows Democrats hate him for actually representing the interests of his constituents.
