If you actually want to know about this stuff, it would give you a framework. Iran petitioned the Hague for 10 billion. We haven't paid them anywhere near that amount. Again - who is "Iran"? I think most fair minded people would agree that the mullah regime is illegitimate at this stage. Why would anybody release that money to a bunch of criminals? That money should be held in trust for a legitimate regime.
August 11, 20232 yr 1 hour ago, jsdarkstar said: Ooops. Republican Congressman Accidentally Admits There’s No Proof of Biden Corruption Republican Representative Nick Langworthy tried to defend the GOP investigation into Joe Biden’s alleged corruption—only to end up admitting that they still don’t have any proof. Republicans have insisted for months that Biden is guilty of corruption and influence peddling overseas, despite producing no actual evidence. But they continue to claim they have proof that he and his son Hunter Biden accepted millions of dollars in bribes. But Langworthy fumbled that point big time on Thursday during an interview with Fox News. Fox correspondent Gillian Turner pointed out that Republicans have yet to produce "a smoking gun: clear-cut, undeniable proof of the president’s involvement.” "Well, we’ve never claimed that we have direct money going to the president, but many members of his family have received money from foreign governments,” Langworthy said. Turner interrupted to correct him: "That is precisely the claim that the chairman of your committee, James Comer, and also Jim Jordan have made many times,” she said, referring to House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan, who alongside Comer has spearheaded the charge against Biden. "We are putting an investigation together laying out the facts on the business dealings of this family,” Langworthy said awkwardly, trying to recover. Langworthy did not fare much better in the rest of the interview. He also said that Hunter Biden’s former business partner Devon Archer had testified to the Oversight Committee under oath, which Turner again pointed out was not true. (And regardless of how he testified, Archer also refuted many of Republicans’ talking points against Joe Biden.) Republicans’ main justification for continuing to investigate Biden is that they already have proof of his wrongdoing and are now just trying to expose the breadth of his crimes. Many Republicans, including House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, are starting to suggest opening an impeachment inquiry into Biden so that they can access more information and witnesses that will lead them to the truth. But Langworthy’s stumble reveals the actual truth: Republicans have nothing on Biden. The reason they keep pushing forward is because they are looking for something to actually substantiate their allegations. yahoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

We pulled out of a deal that was working, got nothing for it and, of course, Trump was lying about the "better deal” he was going to get. So we burned our diplomatic capital for nothing. The whole thing is pretty much a case study in why you shouldn’t elect a game show host president. Of course Biden’s a straight up bad ass so I suppose there’s an outside chance he could pull something off despite Trump’s F up but it’s a long shot.

Did you know that Iran "has been on the verge" of breaking out a nuclear weapon since at least as early as 2008. If you did just a cursory amount of Internet research, you'd know that Iran hasn't allowed proper inspections of its nuclear facilities for quite a while now. Best not to comment on things you are ignorant about.

August 11, 20232 yr Biden's clean energy speech was fun, he roasted Trump and Boebert. Quote "What Arcosa is doing here is part of much broader clean energy manufacturing that’s going to happen in big cities and rural communities,” Biden said. "Well, like in Colorado where CS Wind broke ground on what will be the world’s largest wind tower manufacturing plant,” he added, referring to the South Korea-based company which recently announced it would hire about 850 new workers. "And coincidentally, CS Wind is Congresswoman Lauren Boebert—you know, the very quiet Republican lady—it’s in her district,” Biden said. He said that Boebert, "along with every other Republican voted against this bill, and it’s making all this possible, and she railed against its passage.” "But that’s OK,” Biden added, "She’s welcoming it now.” As for Donnie F-Face, President Biden leaned in to the mic at one point and said softly about windmills, "They don't cause cancer.":

Totally the same with no differences at all! Another scintillating display of logic

Thank God Obama’s deal took almost all their enriched Uranium or they would’ve had one by now. But it’s only a matter of time and thanks to Trump and the dumbest foreign policy decision in history there’s no way to negotiate a new one. They've been aggressively pursuing them the entire time, deal or no deal. Its been 5 years, no nuke. I guess this is just your way of locking in the blame so in 30 years it will still be Trumps fault.

I know you want nothing more than another Benghazi to happen, but the rest of us never want to see that happen again. And yes I support giving aid to Ukraine as long as we keep getting results. Russia is ultra aggressive and one of our biggest enemies. It's money well spent if it means Putin keeps getting his ass handed to him.
August 11, 20232 yr Amazing how anti-military the new and improved GOP has become. Suddenly defense spending is bad, protecting embassy personnel is bad, protecting allies is bad.

August 11, 20232 yr 10 minutes ago, Procus said: https://jcpa.org/article/inspections-nuclear-agreement/ Inspections: The Weak Link in a Nuclear Agreement with Iran That article's from before the deal was even complete, so it's completely speculative. And right off the bat, this part: Quote Rather than cut deeply into Iran’s stocks of enriched uranium or drastically limit the number and speed of its gas centrifuge machines, these proposals also suggest that an unusually robust inspection system can play a significant role in assuring that Tehran will have a difficult time breaking out of any of future agreement. is just flat out wrong. They took 98% of their enriched uranium in the final deal. Stop trying to confirm your bias and accept that you were lied to by the right wing media when the deal happened because 'black man bad'.

Yes, you uninformed cousin-F'ing moron, we've got CIA in pretty much every country we have an embassy in. Once again showing you are one of the dumbest people to have ever made a single post in CVON. As for special forces, it's in an active warzone, so better to have them to secure the embassy and not need them, rather than need them and not have them. Once again, we had former SEALs, Delta Force, and Army Rangers trying to fight back the insurgents in Benghazi and we STILL lost two of them after the ambassador was killed. Quote So you support another $40B. Is there a limit? How about a trillion? Still worth it? Don't remind me of that banger you had months ago... "We've already sent them trillions! Ok so maybe hundreds of billions! Ok, so I was wrong, but it's still way too much!"
