Is Hochul doing this due to the media reports or is it to try to make people feel safer because of the reports? When is it reported as a crime? Do you realize that NYC is just one of many cities in a nation of states? It’s possible for crime to increase in a few cites here and there but overall crime across the nation to fall.

Yes, and gangs of thugs on ATVs ride around Philly doing crimes too. However, the most recent data suggests the largest one-year decline in murder that has ever been recorded.
