July 15, 20241 yr President Biden has been saying all the right things following the shooting...other that pronouncing ballot box to sound like battle box. i think running on unity is more of a natural fit for joe...he's always been the reach across the aisle guy...but i have a feeling this campaign will revert back to name calling & fear mongering quickly since that seems to be what works these days.

I think they just need to match the energy from Trump's campaign. Going on the offensive pre-emptively will look bad after Trump was an inch or two away from dying in front of the whole country. But if Trump starts to abandon his "peace and unity" messaging a month from now, it basically gives Biden a green light to do the same. I wonder what this means for any potential debates in Sept or Oct though.
