Member that time he said he was going to launch rockets and then land them again? Or when he said he would launch satellites to provide internet connectivity all over the world? An American electric car company??What an idiot 😂😂😂

I can't even keep track of the nonsense that you guys spew. She didn't want to raise my taxes or yours. Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos paid no taxes last year. So yeah their taxes should be raised. I shouldn't be paying out the arse while he pays nothing...sorry not sorry. And I believe Trump paid a grand total of $800 in total income tax on the last return that was made public. A fraction of what I pay in taxes. A total joke.No libertarian should be for corporate welfare and giveaways while our rights are being stripped away, and a generational theft shifting all of the nation's wealth from younger working people to old rich people who don't work is occurring on a grand scale. It's unsustainable and it's destroying the country. The idea that we tax labor at a higher rate than capitol is slowly strangling this country to death. It's unsustainable and we are going to learn it the hard way.We shouldn't raise any income taxes. At all. If you work for a living, and get a pay check, you shouldn't pay more in taxes. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't raise any taxes. We absolutely have to raise taxes and cut spending. However cutting school lunch programs for children while adding to the the billions in corporate subsidies we pay to companies like Tesla and Space X is not only stupid, it's immoral. If you want to pay more in taxes to fund those corporations you are free to sign over your pay check to them. For those of us with our sanity, we'll pass.

May 23May 23 I don't understand why seniors are getting an increase in the standard deduction. Feels like they should be set up pretty well at this point with their affordable housing, affordable education, fully funded social security/medicare, and pensions.

When I asked how he would get Hydrogen bombs, he calmly stated that the government would give them to him.

May 23May 23 Just now, Paul852 said:Does the new bill raise or lower your taxes? Or no change? No change really, maybe a tiny reduction. The Trump bill would basically extend the rates in place now, as opposed to having them go back up. So when the left screams it's a tax cut for the wealthy, it's really just not increasing taxes. The increase in the SALT cap from 10-40k would help (removing SALT is why Trump's tax bill was a tax increase for me), but CA allows PTE payments for LLCs to get a SALT deduction (that may also go away in 2026).

If you want to pay more in taxes to fund those corporations you are free to sign over your pay check to them. For those of us with our sanity, we'll pass.Raising tax rates to try to get billionaires to pay more doesn't make any sense. The reason they pay so little is because they don't take an income. There are a number of different loopholes they can use, but I think most of them just borrow against their investments. Any income they do take is typically from long term investments so they pay no more that 15% in capital gains taxes. Raising capital gains would hurt everyone and kill the stock market...but, not surprisingly, both Biden and Kamala proposed it. To get the ultra wealthy to pay their "fair share" you'd have to force them to take an income. Raising their tax bracket will do nothing. As for "greedy corporations"...raising their tax rate is immediately offset by price increase to the consumer or layoffs. A business, especially a publicly traded one, can't just take 10% loss to their profit margin because their tax rate went up by 10%. They will offset it either by cutting jobs or raising prices .. both of which hurt the little guy. It's not about greed, its about what the shareholders demand. Lastly, I agree that the government should not be providing corporate subsidies, but to pin that on this administration is laughable. Obama and Bush both bailed out the auto manufacturers, Biden offered massive subsidies to green companies (like Tesla) and semiconductor manufacturers. It happens in every administration.
