Been running the same route for a few months now.  Park about 1.5 miles from my house, and run along some fairly quiet roads, turn around at a main road, loop through a neighborhood on a lake, then back to the car.  Right around 4 miles.  There's a monster hill just past the car that I'll add to the end on occasion, and adds about .75 miles to the run.  Anyway, I try to run around the same time every other day, starting between 9:30am and 10:00am, I've noticed more women from the neighborhood have been walking when I'm running lately, and, a couple of times, a group of them have been gathered in one of the yards, gossiping I guess, and all smile and wave when I run past.  One of the ladies that has been walking recently is an older lady, and I'll smile and wave when I run past, but she never responds.  Until today.  I ran past her heading in the other direction when I was running toward the main road, I smiled and waved, she looked at me but didn't respond.  I turned around at the main road, then, when I turned to loop down through the neighborhood, I was getting ready to pass her, when she suddenly stopped me.  She asked how I got onto the trail down by the lake, which confused me because I haven't been on the trail down by the lake.  She told me she saw me running on the trail a few days ago, (which I wasn't), and was curious how I got onto it, because she was going to show me a shortcut by running down her driveway and through her yard.  I thanked her, but told her I've sworn off trails for the time being, then went about my run again.  I told my wife about it a little later, and my wife got a little huffy about it, apparently thinking that the sort cut would more than likely lead down her driveway, through her house, and into the bedroom.   Time's yours.

Pics?

Well took a break and then went to workout after my break.

My wife would react the same way honestly.

Bumming right now, friends.  I've had a swollen area on the top of my foot for a couple of years, now.  Occasional pain and burning, but nothing debilitating.  Hasn't gotten any worse but, with time off from running, it didn't get any better, either, so I've taken the f it approach.  The internet seemed to diagnose it as a neuroma, and I was cool with that.  Wife noticed it about a month back and started telling me to get it looked at.  Had an ingrown toenail pop up a couple of weeks ago and, when I went in for that, I mentioned the affected area of the foot, and they referred me to a Podiatrist who I went to see this morning.  After looking at X-Rays, he doesn't think it's neuroma, he thinks it's arthritis in one of my toe joints, something called Freiberg's disease, that's going to require surgery.  An MRI will determine of the surgery will be to save any existing cartilage, or if they're going to have to replace the entire joint.  Either way, sounds like it's going to be an extended break from running.  I've lived a charmed, relatively healthy life, never needed surgery, had never been sedated, until I turned 50.  They day I turned 50, literally on my 50th birthday, that all changed.  Enjoy your youth kids.

Having the toe joint replaced on Friday.  I feel like I'm getting ready for vacation, trying to get as much done as I possibly can before I'm laid up for a couple of weeks.

That's what she said!

Had a follow up with the doctah today. This is exactly what it looked like when the nurse removed the bandages and wraps that have been on my foot, my nasty, sweaty, stinky foot, underneath the boot, for the past 6 hot summer days.

New to pot since 10 years ago in college

i highly recommend, counterintuitively, working out on that body high type of edible pot.   Really gets that mind body connection going

Why is that

If you need to be told why working out high is stupid, explaining why to you is just a waste of time and energy.

Being high? Yes. Working out? Yes.

And at same time?

Seems like a great way to hurt yourself

Don’t knock it till you try it.  I recommend micro dosing the THC with a substantial amount of CBD

If you are trying to outdo yourself as far as sounding stupid, you are doing a great job.

This isn’t the politics section, no need for abuse

Nothing better than a kid asking for a 185 Bench Spot and you do 3 of the 8 reps. He then proceeds to put 225 on the bar and have someone else lift it for him 8 times.
