Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

He did individual drills before the media left.  No report on if he actually practiced yet.

he is throwing the football in practice and is therefore practicing. Will have a limited designation and not clear if he will play yet.

And if he does not participate in team drills, do you think he is playing Sunday ??

Good news. Would like to wrap it up.

No. However what I stated what that he was practicing, which is correct and that it would be great if he could be back and take care of the Saints which is also correct.

Glad to see from your "Minshew Mania"  Rank heading that you still haven't given up on your Hurts hate.

Has nothing to do with Hurts.

I live an hour and a half north of Pullman, and I am a WSU fan.

My gut and guess says he is NOT going to play.

Yep.  There is no need to hold him out of the Wednesday walk through, the day they install the game plan if he is going to play.

Minshew got this

I sure as hell hope so. Put this game away as early as possible, Eagles.

NO THROWS to Quez over the middle! Those go to the TE or the other 2 Awesome WR’S, Minshew.

Dress Hurts. Start Minshew. If it's not wrapped up by the half, put Jalen in.

I didn’t say he would play, but it’s good he’s participating and throwing the ball.  I hardly think he needs to walk through to be able to play, he knows the offense, so he could be a game time decision.

personally I wouldn’t risk it.  I think we can what the saints with backups.  Give him another week of rest and then next game maybe give him a series or two so he gets some live action before playoffs.

The offense is tailored to the opponent, not being part of the install tells me all I need to know.

Still no clear indication if Hurts will play on Sunday.  Might be a game time decision on whether or not some of you will want to watch the game.  You’ll have to check back in a day or two.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yep - a lot of Minshew fans on this board who will have no interest if Hurts is starting. I feel for their uncertainty.

He’s in team meetings, he knows the game plan. It’s not like they make up a new offense every Wednesday and if you don’t do it as 1/8th speed Wednesday you can’t execute it on Sunday.

Genuine question. Are we sure he wasn't in the install? Wednesday was a walkthrough and therefore it was an estimated injury report, so I don't see why Hurts wouldn't have gone through the gameplan with Minshew as well.

The team would be required to list him as LP

Semantics. Teams play games with the injury report - particularly on Wednesday and even Thursday - all season long.

With that said, I hope Jalen is bubble wrapped and watching from a skybox Sunday.  Minshew is here for this game, literally (and I mean the literal literally, not the figurative).

If he can't beat the Saints, at home, in this critical situation,  we can't use him. But I think he can and will.

Very happy to see Jalen was practicing today.   Let's get this Division, #1 Seed and then everyone can have time off to heal.

No, they do not.  That is why the Steelers were fined 75K a couple years ago.  You have to report injuries, and you have to report why guys did not practice.

It was reported that he didn’t participate and I believe Wednesdays report from the eagles had him as a DNP.  But like I said, it doesn’t mean he won’t or can’t play.  Plenty of players across the league don’t practice all week and then suit up Sunday.

oh and fwiw miles didn’t participate Wednesday either but I don’t see anyone worried that he’s not gonna play.

Okay, the LP gives me hope that he plays. I really hope he does.

QBs miss installs all the time and still play. I remember there was a year where McNair barely practiced all season and still started 13+ games

Again, I'm not certain on this, but as there was no practice on Wednesday, the Eagles were just required to release an estimated report on who would have practiced. I don't see why that precludes Hurts from being involved in the install/walkthrough. It simply means that the Eagles think he wouldn't have been physically cleared to go if they did practice. It's not like he's on IR.
