September 21, 20205 yr Don't put him in the basement... That leaves him in the building somewhere. He'd end up clawing his way back in to power.
September 21, 20205 yr His draft failures has messed up the future. Hes nothing but a glorified accountant. He should be no where near any player decisions

When I made this thread last year on old TATE and then again back in April I was still in favor of keeping Howie but just "putting him back in the basement" ala Chip Kelly. At this point though, I think he needs to go.
September 21, 20205 yr The greatest thing Howie Roseman ever did was convince the world he was a top 5 GM based off one 1 flukey season where all his band aid retreads found the fountain of youth. people forget he’s been in a position of power with this organization since like 2008 and we’ve been pretty mediocre for the vast majority of his tenure.

He was massively lucky that the first thing Chip Kelly did as GM was argue with Evan Mathis over a contract, if Kelly had made peace with Mathis, signing a one cut runner like Demarco Murray might have worked better, as it was everything turned to crap, he lost the team and Wormtongue Howie managed to talk Lurie into reinstating him as GM after firing Chip.

The Howie honeymoon is officially over. Have the Howie fanboys migrated to this board as well? Let's hear it. Time's yours. I think this should happen every other year, rinse and repeat. 😆

Move Howie to a Joe Banner executive role handling cap, contracts and negotiations. Hire a new VP of Personnel (Weidl needs to go) who will be over all scouting and set the draft board and decide the draft picks. Phase Howie out, other people can do contracts.
September 21, 20205 yr They should consult this board in draft picks. So many guys we agreed on that are balling in the NFL.

Simple rules should apply until the roster is replenished with young talent: 1. Steer clear of the PAC-10 2. If their mom was a hooker, they probably have a good pimp hand. 3. If they are unsure, draft a kid from Alabama 4. If they are still unsure, draft a kid from Clemson. 5. Physical talent with a healthy dose of crazy beats no talent with a good motor. 6. Did I mention, steer clear of the PAC-10? 7. Don’t ever draft anyone from a Dakota. 8. Field a football team, not a boy’s choir

September 21, 20205 yr Instead of being reminded in every single thread about his picks and the immediate Cap future issues, we need a permanent Howie has to Go Post. We need to start collecting signatures before presenting it to Laurie and other media members, as the fans sentiment. I would hate DP being blamed for Howie's mistakes at the end of the season. It is imperative to Stop Howie from participating in any more draft selections, at the very least.

A playmaker like Reagor will. Honestly, if I were running the draft I wold have targeted two players on offense and everyone else on defense, the two players would have been A.J. Dillion and Denzel Mims.
