Love Asante and it would have been a cool story but from what we know about Gannon, he like lengthy corners with press coverage skills. In Schwartz scheme, Samuel would be be perfect because he would be able to operating in off-coverage in a base cover 3 where he operate best IMO.

Interesting choice.  What made you go that route as opposed to a day 2 or 3 TE?

Eagles believe he has low risk/high reward. Great potential has the size but just needs to work on blocking technique. Coming into a situation where he is not asked to be the TE1 and can learn from Goedert and complement him as he continues to grow. Based on our evaluation, no 5th round or later TE in this draft would have brought better value and potential. Eagles have other needs they would like to address in Day 2

Asiasi has the talent to be a top-end TE. Watched him at UM and then UCLA. Good swap.

You won't find a receiving TE like him at 200, but 150... maybe a little high. Only time will tell! I made a swap for Jonnu either last year or the year before... now look at him lol.

Thanks! My main thing was making sure I didnt touch the two 1st rounders for next year and colts conditional 2nd/1st. 

I dont want the Eagles GM job next year lol too much pressure

Because the Saints pick is coming up, I wanted to put the 28th pick on the block ahead of time.

I've got a specific player in mind, but if the player is taken ahead of my pick, I'd like to move back a few spots into the second round.

yeahhhhhh. I was trying to trade with the Browns. I had the Steelers pegged for OL or cornerback.  Definitely thought he'd make it past the Jets and Jaguars   I almost picked him at 19 instead of trading out with the Eagles.   He's a top-10 talent if he played anywhere else and had the exposure. 

 

Edit: as it turns out, it looks like I wasn't getting him anyway with the Jags also upset lol.  Thought about approaching the Jets, but I like my capital I've built up.  Rumor has it, Darnold is on the block...

I agree. I do think the Steelers can go corner or oline. I think they have bigger needs at guard and I always feel guards can be had rounds 2-3 and start. Corner I would have went with Campbell if Collins was gone. But with losing Dupree and running a 3-4 I think Collins is the perfect pick for them.

I watched a lot of Tulsa games this year. IMO, Collins is everything you want in a modern LB and he has old school nastiness.
