Supposedly Indy has offered (2) 2nd rd picks plus a later 3rd/4th rd pick. This would be about a late 1st rd pick value, depending how much you discount the 2022 2nd (380 for the 2021, 160--380 for the 2022, 60-160 for another pick, so 600-920 or somewhere between pick #18 and #31.

Chicago's 1st rd pick is worth 850, so if they also threw in a 3rd or a 2022 pick it's a better offer than Indy, but not by a huge margin.

Problem is the only source is Jaws, and I don't know if he had real access to these details. Other rumors says the package is less than that.

Howie never expected to get 2 1st rd picks, that's the starting point for negotiations, not a realistic expectation.

But given he has until mid-March until the bonus is due, and no reason to hurry, it's not surprising he's holding out for something better, it's not like Indy has a lot of viable options.

I can see Indy adding a token asset and the two coming to agreement in early March. Say make it a 2021 3rd and 2022 4th or something like that, or a conditional clause that would add a pick or increase the value of a pick.

We don’t need a 3/4 OLB that cannot play 4/3 DE, we do not need a NT, we do not need a 3/4 DE.  Certain IOL don’t really fit the Eagles blocking scheme.  You and I agree on position value.   If the evaluation works out, I am not adverse to trading down.  Problem for me is do the Lions (Goff), Panthers (Bridgewater), Broncos (Lock), cowpads (Dak?), giants (Jones) want QBs or a player we might want.  For example, I could see a run on Farley, Surtain, Horn with those five.   If a coveted OT slips, I could see them grabbing him.  Parsons if he is not already gone. Rousineau (or however you spell his name - don’t trust one year projection anyway).  Just seems this draft is ripe for a Howie misstep in evaluation by other teams.  I think he isn’t particularly good at projecting what other teams might do.  So sitting at six, if the Eagles have three players on the board of equal value, they shouldn’t trade down more than two spots and only if that team is willing. If when they draft only two of those players remain, grab one.  That’s probably not going to yield extra 2s,  but may gain a 3 and a 5 or 6 or a 4 and a 5.

Don’t know if anyone has the answer to this but does slater have positional versatility? I can’t see the eagles keeping lane, dillard making first round money, likely extending mailata now since if they wait it could balloon up and first round money in slater and really all 4 could only play tackle. I feel like dillard would be the likely one out at that point. 

i like slater at 6 cause i think he can be a treat LT for a decade.

Yes Slater is projected to be able to play any position on the line basically. I think the Bengals may take him at 5, especially if Sewell is gone. 

Only 1 person was really wanting Jefferson. Most of the people in here didn't want him

No.  #1 reason, Dak will be tagged before traded.  Not sure what the tag value would be exactly, but average of top 5 QB's would be at least 35 million. 

Eagles would not add that 35 million to the dead cap of 34 million in the Wentz trade.  @4for4EaglesNest, might be the worst idea I have ever seen.
