Anyone else concerned about the complete lack of experience of our coaching staff?

I was completely fine with hiring a first time HC who can bring some new good ideas but usually you’d want at least 1 senior coordinator/assistant/analyst that has a decent amount of high level coaching experience. I think having Schwartz around really helped Doug at the beginning.

Right now we basically our entire coaching staff is doing these roles for the first time.

Not concerned in the least, as long as:

1.  Howie/Lurie gives Sirianni enough time to build a program and a culture

2.  They have a pipeline of coaches to come in and replace the current assistant coaches who will get poached as soon as they start winning again.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Geeez in mid 2000s in Arizona in state tuition was $2000 a semester. It’s jumped to $10000. But Villanova is an awesome school but damn $200000 is steep.

State University in Wisconsin. Full time, $500/semester for residents. 'Course that was in the mid '70s but I recently read that tuition increases have outpaced inflation by a fair margin.

He has shown the ability to improve over last cpl years , and less reliant on his legs .

he gives you lots to work with , won’t be shocked if he is a top 45 pick .

Yeah, he has some of the high-end talent you want in a QB.

Good call. I didn’t mind Dak in the 3-4th cause i thought bradford wasn’t the answer even thought people glorified his 7 game stretch. I wanted the eagles to build up the team and wait for watson the following year and roll with bradford til then. Worked out as wentz played like a mvp the second year and they won a super bowl. However watson turning out to be a top 10 and potentially 5 for the next decade.

He never called that.  You've been trolled.  Truth be told, whoever "predicted"  Dak would be the best QB out of that class is not smart.

Dang that’s dirt cheap when you look at it by today’s standards. Like i know the university here went up to 10k it’s supposedly going up again.  i would some of the students i used to tutor on the side in ochem, biochem and physiology to start out at Pima community college for the general elective classes then come to the uofa cause it’ll save you money long term and as long as you kill the Mcat, GRE , DAT or Pmat and get good grades when you transfer over you’ll be fine.

The lack of this cratered Andy and Doug's runs here. Based on the offseason leaks, we gotta assume Lurie has made this a priority.

Eh my plan wasn’t great. I wanted the eagles to basically be bad like really bad in 2016 to get watson. I thought watson would be a franchise QB. Not that wentz wouldn’t. I thought the risk with him was higher and i just really loved watson. If we do that likely have a great QB but no super bowl.

It was better than whatever the F is happening now!  Problem with someone like Watson is there's no telling how much this organization would have messed him up too.  National media paints him as a guy that needs to get out of a terrible situation.  His situation with the Eagles right now would be worse.

I thought he eagles weren’t ready to make a QB selection unless they absolutely loved wentz or Goff. To me i thought getting someone like tunsil, Conklin or Stanley at 8 was the way to go then go all in next year to get watson as you likely weren’t going to be that good with bradford and Daniel.  I absolutely loved Ronnie Stanley in that draft. Was my favorite tackle so I’m not shocked he is playing like he is. I’m glad the eagles got wentz who they loved cause it worked out. Lurie was supposed hell bent on getting a franchise QB

im guessing watson would’ve likely asked to be dealt if things went the way they did. However since Watson’s acl he’s been durable not sure if the eagles think about selecting a QB in the second round.

Since player development, which seems to be a skill possessed by most of this staff, not winning, is the priority in 2021, the staff has a year to get their legs under them.

The real test will be in 2023, when this team has "critical mass" to turn it around with a few FA additions.

That's a great point.  Considering you are an unwanted tenant, the house you live in is owned by Eagle fans, and you are a total fraud Bucs fan.   Let me know where to send my poop dollar.

Feels like he’s going to go to be the player that goes to tampa or like Green Bay and try to win a title.

If there was a game I had to win, today, I’d want Wentz first, Goff second, Dak third.

Dak isn’t a winner and has never won bupkis — now c’mon Jerry, fork over that $40M contract

Tampa is loaded at receiver position

I was just using them in general as like a Super Bowl contending team. I think Green Bay makes a ton of sense. They need a slot wide receiver with Adams and Scantling on the outside. And I’m guessing at this stage of his career probably cheap. I also wouldn’t be surprised if the Kansas City Chiefs make a run at him as well since Sammy Watkins is going to be gone. Hill and hardman are outside wide receivers where as they could use a slot guy
