I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Yup I think another band that is just Uber talented musically that doesn't always get their just due because they didn't have a ton of chart toppers Rush

At the time of his passing, IMO, Neil Peart was the greatest living musician.

I'm pretty much open to anything, but Texas turned me on to singer-songwriters, Texas has it's own unique brand, from the days of Outlaw Country (Willie, Waylon, Jerry Jeff Walker, et al - get a copy of Viva Terlingua!), but in the 1980s it was Townes Van Zandt, Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen, Butch Hancock/Jimmy Gilmore/Joe Ely, Terry Allen, Guy Clark, Darden Smith et al). And Lucinda Williams, Shawn Colvin.

I try to listen to everything, but a lot of stuff leaves me cold, the ability to have a studio in your home I think has hurt songwriting, too much sonic effects, not enough time spent alone with a guitar or piano writing. Song writing is writing, and writing is hard work.

Lucinda!  That’s a name I haven’t heard in a while.  Small venues and great shows.

Half those players I've never heard of🤷‍♂️

I listen to a lot of bootlegs (got into the habit with the Dead), it's a way of seeing how a group really sounds outside the studio.

Worst singer I've come across, Gary Moore, fine guitarist, but he really should hire a real singer, makes guys like George Thorogood sound like angels.

Check out Gov't Mule, Warren Haynes band when he's not playing with the Dead or Allman Brothers (now defunct), underrated guitarist. He's another limited singer, but still >> Moore.

I just meant it wasn't Daltry/Townsend, Townsend wrote for Daltry's voice.

Fleetwood Mac had the most flexible rhythm section, Fleetwood and McVie had numerous iterations of the band, and were able to adjust to each version.

Yes, those two were so tight. Fleetwood and McVie go back the early days of John Mayall and the Blues Breakers. I saw them in 1967.  Peter Green was the lead guitar and I'm sure McVie was the bassist. I wouldn't have know Fleetwood from Buddy Rich so I can't say if he was the drummer. I thought I was going to see Eric Clapton but he had just left the group. Peter Green was terrific, though.

The Allman brothers were legit slayers

I have about as much musical talent as a garden slug and my knowledge of technical music is about on par with a garden slug but dang trying to play Allman Brothers on guitar hero rock band works up a sweat😊

And the part about cheating on taxes while constantly complaining about wealth disparities?  He’s a total fraud.

Actually came clean and paid his taxes.  So did Willie.  Both were pretty broke when they were paying their tax bills.  Look, judge however you want.  I think he paid his due.  Some bearded brown guy said something along the lines of he that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone.  I recall reading about that somewhere.

Seems the common theme is that they use their legs and can't throw.

That is my reaction to Bruce , awful

Honestly though I can enjoy most singers. Can't stand country music too much.

I find it funny that they refuse to hand out 25 since Shady was traded but they hand out Westbrook’s 36 to every scrub that comes through.

Trisha Yearwood can sing.

Did anybody else's High school make the # 69 unavailable or was that just me.???

At the beginning of the year we were handed a paper from the coaches asking our name height weight position and desired number.

With an asterisk on the form saying all numbers except #69 were available.

There was really no alternative. Well keeping wentz i suppose

but we all knew it would hurt the cap a few years when they fell into the trap of trying to run it back

Understand, but he got into the situation by kicking the can so he kicks it again and some Eagles will be on AARP by the time they are off the cap.

Same here, there are maybe two or 3 country songs I can tolerate.

My wife is a huge Garth Brooks fan.

Man, Steelers fans are sensitive.

Westbrook was better in his prime. If you disagree, I'm willing to fight to the death.

I love the excuse that he had to.  Well he had to, because of the mess he created.

I just can’t stand hypocrites.  If you have an 80’ yacht with 5,000hp, don’t whine about the environment and how horribly humans are destroying the earth.

If you have have $100m worth of real estate on each coast, live a lifestyle that would make an oil sheik blush, and use both legal and illegal loopholes to avoid taxes, don’t patronize everyone else about wealth disparity and the misery of the lower class.

If you have millions and give tax breaks to corporations, including ones enriched from public research and government lands and billionaires and propose killing the estate tax on estates greater than $23 million don’t denigrate legislation as costing too much because it funds social welfare programs like unemployment insurance, pension insurance, and SNAP, small business programs, child tax credits to the poor and middle class that raise a significant portion of children out of poverty, help for municipal and state losses from a pandemic so they can provide the services folks use every day and provides vaccines to all Americans especially when you voted for the same amount to fund an albatross fighter that cost between $80 million and $110 million each and is already obsolete.  You want no hypocrites.

At least once in your life you should go to a Gay Bingo game. When the call is "O 69" the place goes crazy.

Totally different players. Westbrook was on another level in the screen game.

McCoy was a special running back.

Both were amazing.

UDFA for the Colts in 2019. Looks like he opted out last year. I'm sure he'll be starting outside due to injuries by week 14.
