I like the pick but Cowboys definitely were smart.  They probably wanted Slater regardless and knew they could still get him along with an extra pick.

He needs to get open.  That's the key.

I don't worry about his weight.  I worry about his speed (yea, yea, broken record).  If he can separate the way he did in college, he'll be just fine at that weight.

If he can't burn, then he's going to get roughed up and it won't go well.

Yup that stings a bit I think there is a lot of value in 2nd and 3rd round this draft 

The 2nd pick I imagine now will be defense.
