Here are the parameters:

"The player was drafted, the player was 5-foot-10 or taller, the player was equal to or heavier than 180 pounds, the player jumped 40-plus inches vertically in testing and the player broad-jumped 10 feet or more and the player ran a 4.40-second-or-less 40-yard-dash when averaged between six different times collected between official and unofficial recordings."

McPherson met all those except the 40 as he ran a 4.5

Well see though, analytics are useful but still can't judge a guys heart and competitive fire and drive.

I have no idea how Zech compares in those but apparently the eagles liked him enough that they drafted him.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Put Dillard on the next plane to Cali.

Maybe not right away, but if I'm Howie I'm calling the niners as soon as they decide mailata wins the LT competition (he easily wins IMO).

Translation: Fulgham didn’t put the effort in to take the steps necessary to adjust his game and got sent to the bench.  He believed his own press clippings.  Seems to happen with some NFL players.  So he can either take a lesson from it or fall out of the league.

If - and it seems I feel this way about a lot of the players on this team (like Dillard) - Fulgham can figure it out, it would go a very long way to helping the rebuild here. His size would be the perfect complement to Smith and Reagor, and would create an excellent mix of WRs. Fulgham has shown the ability to play WR in the league, but he's still got a long way to go and a lot left to prove.

The odds are against him though. And ultimately he may just be a journeyman who never really sticks anywhere. But him/Smith/Reagor all playing to their potential would finally solve the horror that has been the WR position under Lowie. Much like if Dillard works out, it sets up the tackle position incredibly well for the future. If both situations work out (again, unlikely), we could really turn around and fully focus on rebuilding the defense next year.

Of course, the biggest contingency to it all is Hurts working out. I will say, though Howie wasn't fired, I am glad Doug is gone. I couldn't handle another year of Doug's offense and coaching decisions. This year, I am very much looking forward to how the team plays and hopefully improves over the course of the year. I don't have high expectations for the win column, but that's OK, I just want to see a hope for the future, which I'm optimistic we will see.

Here's another question. What combined numbers (receptions, yards, touchdown receptions) from Smith and Reagor this year would make you feel comfortable about them both being successful long term? I'm sure we're all expecting better results from Smith, but I think it would be encouraging if there wasn't a huge disparity in their respective numbers.

I always leave here disappointed. I was hoping this would still be some kind of 'unofficial'  forum, since it's status changed. It's not. It's a place where hard facts get replaced by the soft, sickly sweet BS thrown about by the local charlatans, and gets tossed about and bathed in by people too lazy to distinguish fact from fiction for themselves.

If only there were a penalty for writing a story that turns out to be utter prevarication. A whole new generation of sportswriters might find work in this town. But no. People read from the same bungholes. What I really like is when someone writes a BS story, and then continues to write more BS using the other BS as a foundation. Some fans are living in a world of BS right now. The BS plays to their primal emotions, just like politics.

But like Fletcher Cox said    -Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Exceptional speed helps a CB but it is overrated and the NFL draft busts are as littered with failed speed DBs as it is with failed speed WRs.   Speed and unpenalized chucks and hands in college tend to result in CBs with bad technique. Add stiff hips and slow reactions and the speed CB must rely on catch up speed.   If McPearson gives us a Sheldon Brown type of CB instead of a Lito Shepherd, that is a great bookend with Slay. McPherson and Maddox both have better mirror skills than a lot of CBs in the league. (Diggs, for example).  I found it interesting that article said nothing about fluidity.

That interview was full on spin mode. He also said JJAW was hurt all year so thats why he wasn't getting playing time or getting opportunities, yet I don't remember him ever being on the injury report and he was just a healthy scratch for like 6 weeks in a row until the tank game.

They said that after his rookie year too.

Yup. One of the knocks on Rochelle was that he has tight hips.

McPherson doesn't have the straight line speed Rochelle does but his hips are loose enough and he's explosive.

To be honest I knew nothing about McPherson before he was drafted, the more I read up on him the more hopeful I am that he can develop into a guy who can contribute.

We'll see, even if all he ever is is a nickel that good value for a 4th rounder

I think his ceiling is eventually starting CB2.

Hard to say.  I really expect a balanced offense and there are going to be throws to the backs and tight ends. There are only so many touches to go around.  Given recent history with this team around 1,350 yards between the two would be superior.  So my response is a >65% catch rate with single digit drops,  not yards, catches or TDs.  And given the "love” Greg Ward gets in here, maybe a YAC average >2 yards.

But people here believe it. A LOT.

Hurts is a glaring example

99% of the fan base was angry when he was drafted.

Media tells us he's a good guy and wentz is a meany.

We beg for hurts to Start.

He starts, doesn't do anything specials, media tells us he's a great teammate and amazing as a person around our community.

About 14 months later you got guys shouting from the roof top that Hurt's is the real deal, and now he's going to be our future.

You are talking to one of them

Starts at 3. Eagles Unscripted. Supposedly a behind the scenes 15 minute episode of the rookie minicamp

Yes, Medicaid pays into it. About of a third of it is Medicaid and Title X

And yes, I dont want my government pissing money away with a terrible business structure thats not needed any more. In fact you back up my point by bringing up the founding fathers. Things have changed in the mail delivery system in the last 240 some odd years.

The problem is general is too many people are allowed to vote and quite frankly not every vote should be equal. Ya, I said it.

Well you're wrong about Medicaid funding and Title X.

The post office isn't a business and it's also not directly funded by taxpayers.  You would need a Constitutional amendment to get rid of it and it's fundamentally part of the need to have open clear communications that allow for a more stable economy.

I agree a lot of morons vote. I think the right to vote is fundamental to a stable society.  We benefit from stability in our government more than instability.

I think it's a fools errand to draw any conclusions after 4 games.

When Hurts was Drafted I was angry I was confused, after Wentz went down in flames I thought well I guess they have a qb they'll give a shot.

I'm willing to give Hurts more than 4 games before I claim he's the answer or totally sucks.

I'm not sure why more aren't??? especially when it seems the eagles are.

I think opposing DBs started figuring him out and he just couldn't figure out a move to consistently beat press coverage on the line.  I'm not sure if that is effort, ability or knowledge.

We would be wise to entertain offers for Cox.

Got to take a hard long look at doing it. Maybe they play the field first then build up towards a trade closer to the start of the season or traded deadline. Might explode in their face though if Cox gets hurt

I’ll go 1,700 yards and 15 TDs.

Numbers can be overrated. People often bash Alshon’s numbers for the 2017 season but I felt like he was a respectable #1 WR that year.

1) My Medicaid and title X was taking from the planned parenthood website, so thats weird.

2) Stop with this directly and indirectly BS. the government has ZERO money(say it with me now) ZERO money for grants, and whatever cool term they want to use that allows them to give away our tax money. ANYTHING! (business, company, ETC) that loses BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of dollars a year shouldn't exist.  Free and open clear of communication? you think if the USPS shuts down all of a sudden UPS, FEDEX, ETC are going to now allow you to send mail lol.

This government spends WAYYYY to much money or Stupid S that either doesn't work, wont work, or in countries they shouldnt.  You could turn around this country with 3-4 swoops of a pen.  Maybe 5.

Planned Parenthood doesn't just provide abortion services.  They are prohibited from using that money to pay for abortion services or to shift money to use for abortion services in most states with that money.

The postal service losing money is like pointing to any other government service and saying it's losing money.  I mean how much money does the US military make? It's just a silly way of looking at it. If the USPS shuts down, what would prevent UPS, FEDEX or another service from refusing to send packages or mail for one group of people vs. another?

To be comfortable I think it would need to be 2,000, 150 and 15.  To be optimistic they would work, I think 1,600, 120 and 8 but divided no more than a 60/40 split.

Why are we only going back 4 games?

He was a 3rd(probably 4th rounder) who lost his starting job in college.

Just because a sh11ty team names him a starter doesnt automatically give him a better chance. But people drinking the I still use the EMB's #1 Cliche of him being great around the community, how he works out in shorts with his bros' and how he says his prayers and takes his vitamins now makes him a bonafide starter.

He only started 4 games.

This year he'll get starter Reps and have a full off season, he's no longer a rookie, he had workouts with some of his receivers over the summer.

Im willing to give him a chance before i draw any conclusions

If one were to go back and look at a lot of rookies first 4 starts one would probably cut them all.

Hurts ability to at least navigate the pocket was evident from his first start, as opposed to Wentz who resembled a tweeker in the pocket, and not pharmaceutical grade, that stuff that meth heads make in their garage with cough syrup and cat litter.

Now how long it takes for the eagles to conclude he's trash or good who knows???

If hurts starts off rough and doesn't show any improvement then how long before he's benched

Hopefully not as long as it took them to bench Wentz

If he looks average but is improving then one sticks with it for a bit longer until one sees how far he can go.

I think at best he's Dak and at worse he's Tyrod Taylor.

Let’s everyone get along and stop being mean to each other. It’s National best friends day. Respecting each other’s view points shouldn’t be so difficult.

We all need love and support. ❤️

The Postal Service losing money is actually baked in now. Look up Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act of 2006. This law essentially makes it impossible for the Postal Service to operate at a profit.
