That's like trying to pick one of either Rosie O'Donnell, Roseann Barr, or Whoopi Goldberg to win a beauty contest against Kate Beckinsale.

Depending how many cases of beers &/or legal maximum allowed of alcohol proof for a whiskey!

Boys, just read on nfl network about coach Doug becoming the next OC of the Seahawks. If that happens, he finally gets to coach up & design explosive plays for DK!

That will be a good hire for Seahawks if that happens

Isn't there another Staley besides Duce?

I've been saying that they are not going to let all that money walk out the door after one bad season. Not only is the cap hit too great but trading him would be admitting failure and this FO is not going to so obviously admit to failure. He's going to be given a chance to succeed until it makes more financial sense to unload him.

He is never going to succeed if Wentz keeps getting hurt

And that might be a reason why they’re interested in so many defensive minded HC candidates.

An offensive minded HC wants to implement his own scheme and he probably needs a specific triggerman to run it. The majority might not be happy if the organisation forces Wentz on them and even asks them prioritizing salvaging him.

A defensive minded HC will leave that to the OC and QB coach. Hence the interest in Saleh, Mayo, Bowles and B. Staley.

Or perhaps too many pessimists that think we’re the browns because of one bad season? How many playoff appearances and super bowls have the jags, jets, chargers, falcons, lions and Texans had in the last 20 years? Like it or not the eagles have been a successful franchise with Lurie and Howie, it will appeal to coaches far more than some here believe.

One would think a good HC would be thinking they can win anywhere given the right opportunity.

My take on the current condition of this Franchise, which most likely won't appeal to potential TOP Coaches. I hope I am not missing anything with this list.

  • Meddling Owner
  • Bad, jackarse GM
  • Old/Aging roster
  • Severely over the salary cap
  • Hardly any good young players on the roster
  • QB mess of a situation (one QB may be broke mentally and physically, the other QB may be just not good)

Josh McDaniels?! Please God no!!!

Maybe it could fall under one or more that you already listed, but one might question if there is a lack of commitment considering Doug won us a SB just a few years ago and now he's out on the street looking for a job.

The guy that pretty much screwed us over

He crashed and burned as a HC/GM in Denver so maybe they're banking on him "staying in his lane" as HC?

Interesting move, not sure if he'd actually take the job though since he's probably going to take over for Belichick whenever he retires.

Yep.  Unfortunately.

This is just getting worse.  Next we’ll hear we’re interviewing Gase!

Hell no on McDaniels, he is an a-hole and screwed the Colts when he changed his mind, at least the Colts dodged a bullet

Yeah and screwed us in the process because they then hired Reich.  That was the start of the end.  It was a good 2 years.

I hope he gets hired, better than McDaniels

If we go McDaniels, that will really test my fandom.  I can't stand him.  I hope Lurie really thinks it through because not only is McDaniels a jerk, but he is the main reason why we lost Frank.  He's just like Gase. He received way too much credit for working with Brady. Brady made him more than vice versa.

Yeah, if McDaniels is hired, I am done with the Eagles until McDaniels is fired

Can you imagine we come to terms with McDaniels, and he ends up going back to NE again?

Think he's hated now??

I wouldn't be happy we hired him in that situation, but I would rejoice if he left fast.

I probably would too, as I don't want him, but it would be another black eye for Lurie. Colts got taken by surprise. We would have agreed to terms knowing he reneged once before.

Well, Howie is the black eye that doesn't heal.
