Sure, we could do that, just like we could constantly test cops who don't wipe their a** after they take a sheet to make sure their loose fecal matter isn't spreading disease to the public, or we could all understand that if a cop is so unconcerned with the public safety, the safety of their fellow officers or even their own safety to take even the most basic hygienic precautions then they're completely unfit to be a police officer.

Given that the vaccine doesn't prevent infection or spread, testing is, obviously, the safest bet when protecting the general public and other officers. Again, taking pleasure in people losing their livelihoods because you perceive them to have different political opinions is pretty gross.

You just keep repeating this lie, no matter how many times it's proven false.

In Israel, the Clalit Research Institute, in conjunction with Harvard University, conducted an observational study involving 130,464 COVID-19–naïve adolescents aged 12 to 18 years, half of whom were vaccinated with the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine from Jun 8 to Sep 14, 2021; matched participants were unvaccinated. During the study, 13,423 unvaccinated participants were vaccinated.

Estimated effectiveness of the Pfizer vaccine against infection was 59% (95% confidence interval [CI], 52% to 65%) 14 to 20 days after the first dose, climbing to 66% (95% CI, 59% to 72%) on days 21 to 27 and 90% (95% CI, 88% to 92%) 7 to 21 days after the second dose.

People who are vaccinated against Covid-19 are less likely to spread the virus even if they become infected, a new study finds, adding to a growing body of evidence that vaccines can reduce transmission of the delta variant.

British scientists at the University of Oxford examined national records of nearly 150,000 contacts that were traced from roughly 100,000 initial cases. The samples included people who were fully or partially vaccinated with either the Pfizer-BioNTech or the AstraZeneca vaccines, as well as people who were unvaccinated. The researchers then looked at how the vaccines affected the spread of the virus if a person had a breakthrough infection with either the alpha variant or the highly contagious delta variant.

Both vaccines reduced transmission, although they were more effective against the alpha variant compared to the delta variant. When infected with the delta variant, a given contact was 65 percent less likely to test positive if the person from whom the exposure occurred was fully vaccinated with two doses of the Pfizer vaccine. With AstraZeneca, a given contact was 36 percent less likely to test positive if the person from whom the exposure occurred was fully vaccinated.

apparently you do not.

a reduction in transmission means it's preventing spread

it does not have to stop spread 100% for it to be considered preventative.

again, we all know you're an idiot. you do not need to have to continuously assault us with your stupidity.

Hate to keep bringing up Harvard scientists, but this is worth repeating:

OK, so if we're going to quibble with basic definitions, let me be more clear. The vaccine doesn't stop all transmission and, obviously, testing is a much safer way to go if we're really attempting to limit the spread.

No one's this stupid.  Surely he's just grasping at straws because he doesn't know what else to say....right?

Fartbird is never going to change. Is this really entertaining to you?

Do you have an ishlib version of the definition?

Holy sheet, you really are this stupid.

That's like saying a bullet proof vest doesn't prevent you from getting shot.  Or a seatbelt doesn't prevent you from flying through the windshield.

If you get shot while wearing a bullet proof vest, you’ve still been shot, you complete and utter moron. Holy ish 🤣😂🤣

  I knew since you were grasping at straws here, you'd grab that one too.

"That's like saying a bullet proof vest doesn't prevent a bullet from piercing your skin" obviously is what I meant.

But please, tell me again how the vaccine doesn't "prevent" infection or spread of the virus.

The best part is you were actually making a very apt analogy for my argument without even realizing it.

Just fantastic.

if 100 out of 100 people shot in the chest without wearing a bullet proof vest die..

and 10 out of 100 people shot in the chest while wearing a bullet proof vest die..

were deaths prevented by the bullet proof vest?

So, wait, are you seriously sticking by this one?  You think seatbelts don't prevent you from flying through the windshield and bullet proof vests don't prevent a bullet from killing you?

Those 100 people would have been better served just getting shot, thereby gaining natural immunity from future gunshots.

Oh yeah, so if you change what he said it works a little better. Great point, moron.

It is pretty funny that now you idiots want to get technical with the argument. "well, obviously he meant prevent the bullet from penetrating the skin."

So let's apply that standard to my post that got your panties in a bunch. "The vaccine doesn't prevent infection or transmission." Obviously, I'm referring to the fact that those who have been vaccinated can still catch and transmit it, and I'm using a very basic definition of the word prevent. So unbunch the panties and move on.

That, in no way, bears any resemblance close to what my post said. Other than that, great point.
